2 Inches In 4 Months Challenge (sep - Dec 2015)

My scalp is sore. I think it's from wearing headbands to work. I'm off today and tomorrow so I'm just letting my hair be free.

I bought a new wig to wear on days that I don't feel like styling my hair (most days lol).

Here is my updated wig regimen:
Rinse hair with warm water
Add Alter Ego to scalp and gair for 1 minute
Rinse and add shampoo (one lather)
Rinse completely and add dc with plastic cap
Final rinse with cool water
detangle in sections and add leave in
Put in about 10-12 plaits

When does the thread for the sept challenge start? I wanna join it and start planning my regimen in advance because my schedule will be taking a massive change around then.

@Prettymetty @xxlalaxx thanks ladies, unfortunately I didn't use a measuring tape before I relaxed. Maybe I can get an inch in 7 days like the inversion method is supposed to give. If that miracle happens then I would have achieved my goal of 2 inches in 4 months with my four months starting on April 13 with freshly relaxed hair. I am now 2 weeks post and though I'm underprocessed unintentionally I'm still trying to gain that extra inch.

Congratulations on your growth. Remember it's not just what you grow, its also what you retain. So you have to measure from root to tip and not just your new growth.

In my case since I'm relaxed the best indicator of growth is the difference between my freshly relaxed hair and my NG where I am able to use the line of demarcation as my end point starting from the root.

But this challenge isn't about growth as much as its about retention. 2 inches in 4 months, means that you retain at least 2" not so much whether your hair grows 2". The only way you can tell that is to measure from root to tip.

Only 2 more weeks to go. It's time to all up what your doing to retain those ends and get that last but of growth.

I will take pics the last weekend of the month.

My renewal date is 8/28 or 8/29. Some ladies have had issues accessing the site after renewing. If you don't see me after the 27th I'm probably having issues. Just continue without me and start the September through December challenge without me. Whoever can get that started I would appreciate your help.

I want to get a salon blowout the end of this month so that I can self trim. When I flat iron my own hair I never seen to get the roots good enough. After my trim I'll post a length check pic

OK ladies it's time to get those pictures ready. Hope to have some great updates. Let's do the updates by next Sunday and we can start the final phase of the challenge on Monday the 31st.

If anyone wants to join for September through December, complete the initial post and jump on in. I will update the title on August 31st.

Did a clay wash, deep condition and then blow dried. I wish I knew how to blow dry better but it's done. And this is my last blow dry of the year.

I don't know if I got 2 inches but it definitely grew and I retained so I'm happy.

I will post my pic tomorrow or Tuesday when I cowash.

Today I just spritzed my hair with avj and applied mn to my scalp. This next session will be my best one yet. I want 2 inches so I can finally reach my next length milestone

I think I'll join for the next phase of the challenge...

I'll post a photo in the morning... I doubt I straighten again this year... I have some heat damaged ends and I don't want them completely straight...

I'll be doing a pull and measuring (hopefully).

I'll do a blowout this weekend and do my best for a length check. I'm postponing my next flat iron until the end of the year.

I'll try to get this done tomorrow but I have a busy bank holiday weekend involving a lot of drinking, jumping up and getting on bad:grin:- family birthday celebrations, Notting Hill Carnival. I'm gonna try to fit in a few good munches too. And hopefully these end of phase pics:grinwink:

I will get my pic in probably Sunday. Been meaning to flat iron but lazy. I'm still exhausted from last week wash session :tantrum:. I'm going to do it tomorrow. It's Caribbean festival weekend, parties, cookouts, and pool parties in my lineup. Gonna see people I haven't seen in a while, and I want to show of my length off.
