:weird:So I got a relaxer at JCPenney Salon and LOVED IT!:yep: Very nice experience. 16 weeks post relaxer and she used Affirm Sensitive Scalp. This is gonna be my go-to relaxer now because I experienced NO :burning: on my scalp whatsoever.

She was ON TIME! I barely sat in the waiting area before she called me up. Didnt even have time to open up a magazine. She based me up and let it sit in my hair for a lil' bit while she rollerset another client. She was fast and asked questions.

She said she'd like to use other products like Affirm Fiberguard and Phyto, etc. but being that JCPenney is more of a corporate salon type atmosphere, they can only use certain products.

What she know about Phyto? LOL

I said NO scissors and she listened. I said NO crunchy, setting lotion and she listened. In fact, she used some Joico K-pak Leave-in..What she know about Joico?!

AND, she used a RECONSTRUCTOR on my hair BEFORE neutralizing!! Who does that? No one knows about that! Affirm 5 n 1!!! That stuff is NICE!! She kept laughing at me and my questions. Kept asking what kind, whats the brand, who is that by, lemme look in that dye bowl first, etc...

Suggested a Demi-permanent rinse instead of semi since i complained of always having to do rinses. Think it was called MATRIX Prizms in Black. LOVE IT.

My hair turned out so pretty...until I went outside in the humid heat and it turned into this:hair:. But i ran a little KeraCare essential oil through my hair, popped in my rollers and the next day it was nice and fluffy.

Price? Never spent this much on a relaxer/style in my life.:ohwell: But I will pay it again because it was a good experience. Great time management, professional, I even got a coupon punch card, etc.

Was kind of different getting my hair done right next to Becky :look:..but i'll gladly leave traditional salons for better service.

Please DO NOT QUOTE PICS, yall know how we hate that and these pics are too big for all that mess! THANKS

Congratulations on your progress!! Your hair is beautiful.:yep: I always do reconstructor/protein after relaxer but before neutralizing. This was a staple when doing clients in the shop.

very nice
can i ask how much you paid???
you can answer me in pm if you want
wow it's really nice that the lady was knowledgeable etc...
we should really set a higher standard for stylists
but i guess the cheap dominican price is alluring

I've always loved your hair! It's grown so much! Your hair is BANGIN, girl!!!

Relaxer $65
Color/Rinse $15

I'm accustomed to paying $45 for my relaxer and bringing in my own rinses so I had a lot of contemplating to do w/ my cheap self.

...............(I'll be back to comment later; gotta go get my shades!)

Girl your hair is blingin!!!! It's so shiny and healthy looking. Glad you had a good experience.

Dang girl you got that swanging hair and it looks really nice. The Penny's I go to for my pedicure has some sistas working there; I might grill them next time I'm there; if they have the right answers, they may have a new client!! $65's not too bad.
