It is downright jacked up that they would skip this step considering the money that they charge! No wonder my hair has thinned out so much! I will demand this the next time that I go to the salon.
My dominician stylist did this ONCE (skipped the 5 in1!) when I INSISTED she use the reconstructor, she admitted she didn't have any!!!! Anywho, since then, I ordered the complete affirm line (I use mild, with 5 in 1) from sheldez and now take the entire system with me on touch-up day. Period! I INSIST they use MY stuff and follow MY directions to a T. This is MY hair we're doing here! Anyway, I was outrage, although my hair didn't seem to suffer any ill effects--it was only once; however, can see how over time this would cause a problem. I am so jaded and disillusioned by stylist and so-called hair care "professionals" that I wouldn't take their word on ANYTHING -- I check and double check WHATEVER they tell me 'cause they've been pretty much WRONG on pretty much EVERYTHING regarding MY hair for the last two decades -- it is only when I started taking CONTROL of my hair (like buying my own relaxer system and insisting they follow the DANG directions!) that my hair has been florishing . . .
Can ya tell I don't think much of these folks? Once I STOPPED listening to them and basically ignore their so-called advice, my hair has never been longer or healthier. Take ANYTHING they say with spoonfuls of salt and triple check their facts . . . just my two cents . . .
