My blowout and condition is $35.

That's what it should be even with the deep conditioner. Mine will be that price from now on. I will be bringing my own conditioner.

Really pretty! Can't wait to see your t/up pics (even though your hair looks really good already!)

Thanks Blackbarbie...I can't wait to see it after a t/up either. And I just have to tell you that your hair looks absolutely stunning in your siggy pic.

I really like salerm 21 with b5, protein shampoo, and basalm protein conditioner. I'm urging to try the wheat germ mask some ladies posted a review on a while back. Salerm products are distributed for the south east in Hialeah Fl thats like down the street, but regular BSS availability is selective:( . There are Dominican Salons on every block here so one day I will venture back and hope for results as good as yours.:)

Okay I might have to try those. I know that the lady used the Salerm conditioning mask and the placenta stuff. I am really going to have to get that placenta vial. Besides that I think that's about it. I notice that they use very little styling products.

You and the hair look absolutely gorgeous! Do you have highlights? I want some but I am so scared about the damage.

could someone describe the process of a dominican blowout.Ive been searching everywhere and cant find out the exact details. All i know is that it has got to do with a blow dryer and brush....cld smeone expand please !

TIA

Oh this is gorgeous!

So I went to a stylist recommended by some of the ladies on the board and thankfully she did not tell me that I needed a trim before she saw my hair ;). Overall the experience was great, my hair is so light and wispy it feels like a different texture. I mean my head feels like I lost pounds.

But I will probably never go with as much newgrowth as I had. I am about 6 weeks post, underprocessed, and I have crazy growth from Boundless Tresses. It took her (shampoo lady) the longest time ever to rollerset me!! And when she washed my hair she did an LHCF no-no...she scrubbed it all over and made my hair a tangled mess. And that fine tooth comb has GOT ta go. I lost so much hair from that and my newgrowth combined. But after it was all done I couldn't believe how long it was and how silky it feels. I actually really like her and will be going back next week for a salerm relaxer. ( I carefully observed her doing someone elses relaxer first and she does a good job). Overall I'm happy with the texture and with her...next time we will just have to make some adjustments...like I bring my own comb and conditioner...(they charged me 25.00 for conditioner plus the blowout:eek::eek:)

To be continued after the relaxer:lol:...

P.S. Please bare with the pics...I have to get a new camera:look:

Oh, I happen to go to the BSS with my mom after I got my hair done. The ladies in there kept looking at my hair. The one behind the counter asks "Who does your hair?" I tell her about the lady..then she says..."In the front right there is that your hair?" :lachen::lachen: I was like it's all my hair. She was like "ohmigosh it looks like a weave...I bet people ask that all the time!" Just thought that was funny.

Thanks TBebe, Caplush, and Letitia for your help;)!
Thanks to all the ladies from the other thread who encouraged me to cancel my other appointment...I am soooo glad I did.

Glamourgirl - I'm glad you didn't go to the other "psychic" place that mysteriously knew you needed a trim. Anyway, it looks great lady!

Thank you very much Csmoot! Yes I do have highlights. My sister did them for me with that African Pride highlights. At first I hated them, but the color has calmed down so much that it looks like I have strands that shimmer. I haven't really noticed any damage but prior to the highlights I had almost went a whole year deep conditioning my hair after every shampoo, so I think my hair was pretty strong.

Hi Tara G. A dominican blowout is when your hair is shampooed and deep condtioned, then rollerset. After it is rollerset it is blown out with round brush, and I think some use a fine tooth comb. Either way it leaves the hair shiny, bouncy, and silky. Some opt to have only the roots blown out while others do a total blowout. I hth:).

Thanks nycutiepie. :lachen::lachen:I am sooo glad I didn't go. I like how everyone is calling her the "psychic stylist" that is too funny. She wont have to worry about me at all.

Nice job Glamour girl :) You're gonna' be hooked now ;)

I am so worried about this. I am already hooked:lol:!! I love it, and I'm worried because I don't want any damage done to my tresses...but I love the way it looks and feels.

Just beautiful! You AND your hair! I knew you would love it! Make sure to let us know how the relaxer goes as well!
