I just mean for me personally (4b hair) I always had a problem with my hair poking out or frizzing up, and these minimize it. I've had better luck with yarn than other synthetic or human hair.

I'm sure they look wonderful on all hair types

These look sooo good. I thought they were locs until I read your full post. They are cute on u.

very nice, you are some kind of resourceful and creative to do it all on your own. Wow. You make me feel like i need to step it up

They look good. You are talented. Great job.

How do you keep your hair moisturized?
Right now I just spray with braid spray atleast twice daily. Sometimes more cause it feels refreshing and i spray them on the braids all the way down, I am using Profective temple thick on my edges. I also use the Carefree curl when my hair feels dry. I plan to do something along the lines of her wash reggie. I wanna find something else to use on my scalp besides baking soda, I'm scared of it now.

Those are too cute!! I like how they can have a sexy feeling to them when you put them in an updo! I want some now...lol...all the ones I've seen around here (STL) are entirely too big and bulky. I saw one chick with blonde ones and red ends...her head looked like a box of matches, hot mess. :lachen:

I know right! OMG  that's funny.

Yours are so pretty! I like yarn braid..but they take forever to put in and forever to take out...expecially to take out!!! I did them to my hair before but I never finished.. let me find a picture of mines..:)
How long did It take you? Did You just braid yours down? thats how I did mines..I know a lot of people who do them another way..I dont know how..
OMG that is what I am dreading the take out. It took me so long to do these they staying in for awhile. I am not sure what braided down is? I just

here's the link for the 1st half of her tutorial
the 2nd half is under related vids

I think yarn braids are good for people with 4ish hair, I don't have any problem with my hair poking out of the braid or frizzing up
My hair was poking out and frizzing up. I took the scissors to those only because i do need a trim anyways.

You think the front looks sloppy?? I don't!! The whole style looks really nice. I wish I could braid my own hair.

Yes because my parts weren't that straight and small, and symmetrical. I don't know I am a perfectionist when it comes to hair. I will keep trying until I get it right. Styling your own hair, isn't easy.

you can see pics of my yarn braids here...I was gonna upload but but it takes too long!!

Very Pretty. I love the brown. I wanted to get some color but I didn't see any and I thought the brown would be too brown. It brings out the brown in your eyes. I may try something like this if I do them again.

I love this!!!! I NEEEEEEEED to learn to braid. You're really pretty, you should smile more, trying to mean mug us

Aww thanks! LOL, Why do people say I am am mugging when I am just simply, not smiling?:lachen:I get that so much. Truth is I don't really like my gap that much, so i just kinda only show it sometimes, people think it's so cute but I wish it was a LIL smaller. I am not trying to mug though, promise.

I didn't know they could look so close to locs or maybe that's an optical illusion. It looks great and you did it on your own. Now that's dedication!

OP: I mean like platted down...like i see alot of ladies that have them like the lady maxeen from living single..know her? but I just plat mine down tightly as if I was doing singles or pixies or som... I dont know if u understand...

OH that's what that is on her head? Ok. Yea I just plait mines down normal like i'm doing singles too. I tried to get them tight cause that's how she did them. They look like neat dreads. How long does it take you to take yours down and how do you take them down? I was thinking I was going to have to drench my hair in some water and condtioner.

I thought they were suppossed to look like locs. See, when I was in Walgreens, this lady was telling back at home(wherever she is from) the way they do them it's smooth and they look like braids. She said she liked mines though. I was wondering if I did something wrong but blackonyxx called them yarn braids/genie locs so I thought they were suppossed to look like locs. Hers looked like locs. I hope I did these right. They took FOREVER.

Thanks I don't know about this ponytail though. I might need to let my braids grow out a little. I am so paranoid about my hairline. Even though my hair isn't braided tight my scalp is still sore from the braiding so I will just moniter and if I feel like it's too much I won't be wearing it up as much after all.

Great job!!! I may consider doing this over the Christams break and I too, love Black Onyx, she is the greatest and has the best personality.

You've inspired me to do these really soon. They're so cute! I love locs, and they give you the look of locs without the actual loc process.

You did an excellent job!! I love the updo, ultra-glam!!, and you've got great brows . You're really pretty, but I'm sure you've heard that here before :yep:.
