It has a faint nutty smell, you can't really tell unless you take a big whiff of it. It is yellow. I got the organic kind.
I have yet to use it on my hair, but it is wonderful for the face. It is not greasy and easily absorbed, my face looks much clearer.

I wish I posted this before. According to what I've reading on the net, Camellia Oil from Japan is the B-E-S-T. FNWL only has it from China and paying $20 for 2 oz on Amazon seems a bit 
I picked some Chinese Camellia oil at a Asian Supermarket and it's
..sorta like Coconut oil but just a faint smell.
