Your hair is very pretty. I love the length, color and thickness. I am sorry you had this bad experience. It just goes to show that your hair is bangin' and you're doing something right.

!!! Girl - I would have PULLED and yanked on my hurr.... to prove a point :giggle:

LK, you're just as silly as me. Instead of ignoring them, I'd have been working on making it clear subtly that this hurr right here be all mine, then I'd have to resist the temptation to follow my annoying performance with, "Any questions?"

I agree with the ladies who said it looks so good that it's no wonder they thought it was fake. What I don't get is why people have to be so obnoxious. Why does it have to be "fronting" or trying to act white even if it had been a weave?  Can't people wear their hair how they want to wear it just because they have the option without it having to be calling "acting like what you're not"? Haters irk the heck out me. (Kat Williams NSFW language)

That's my point. You can feel or think what you want but why be catty and call me names when you don't even know me? Why be rude and why is it that serious to you? I guess I don't get it. I can never see myself calling another person a b!tch b/c I thought she was lying about her hair... and I would NEVER touch someone else's body... Again, it's not that serious...

LOL... if it happens again I may have to take this advice :lachen:

Kami, t'aint nothing to worry about..folk who cannot/will not do what others can often feel intense jealousy:jaws: about not being able or willing to accomplish the goals. Kinda like the poor envying the wealthy...hard work, perseverance and determination can make anyone a winner-obstacles be damned. You did the work and are now reaping the healthy, beautiful hair rewards. Wear it well and I appreciate your ladylike responses to the naysayers. Keep up the good work:trophy:.

So I know most of us has experienced this many times, but it doesn't make it any less annoying :wallbash::wallbash::wallbash:... ITA I haven't had the misfortune/fortune of being "weave-checked" but the whole touching thing would never become okay, no matter how many times it happened...

This wknd was chock full of ppl touching my hair, asking me what kind of hair that was in my head, and literally talking behind my back saying how I wish that was my real hair!

her two friends were behind me talking about "that b!tch wish that was her hair, It's a curly weave. I hate when black b!tches try to be white acting like they can grow some hair. She know she bought that from the Ave...":blush::blush::blush:
I turned aorund and said very nicely, you're very wrong... then I turned around and smiled and told them to have a good night and walked away!

Not to offend anyone but I don't understand our community sometimes and their ignorance. I think a lot of the stereotypes about black women and our hair that other ehtnicities may have are perpetuated by our communnity and it's very unfortunate. And why do I have to be a b!tch! b/c you think I'm lying???? you don't even know me!!! Even if you feel I'm not being truthful, why do you have to call me names, roll eyes and be childish!!! why disrespect me? why is it that big of a deal to you? .:lachen:

Hahaha When you said that part about the "the Ave" I immediately thought of Brooklyn and scrolled up to see your location:lachen: Honestly, we all know there's a deep-seated belief among Blacks that a head of thick, long hair like yours isn't attainable through "natural" means. As for the level of attitude, touching, and calling you out of your name that is just pure, uncouth jealousy that some people harbor.

You're hair looks great! Sorry you experienced this!

Pure jealousy and pure hateration. Girl, your hair is beautiful. Those girls were so out of line, plain and simple. But that's a ghetto chick for ya. You can't expect anything more.

I sincerely apologize on behalf of those ignorant individuals for their immature behavior. Black women tend to have a complex about their image and want to make their inferiority everyone else’s. Just because they may not be able to grow their hair due to their lack of understanding and hair care regimen does not mean they have to insist that your hair is not real. Not only is your hair beautiful you are absolutely stunning and it possibly intimidated them. I applaud the way you responded to them as opposed to feeding their stupidity with needless drama. PEACE

Thanks guys... again, I never experienced anything like that before... the audacity to put your hands all through my scalp! makes me mad just thinking about it. Then the following day to have someone call me a b!tch? you don't even know me! ::sigh:: all b/c you think my hair is fake? doesn't make sense to me

Your hair is so beautiful and shiny, it does look like a top shelf weave. :lick:

:sekret: I would have asked where you got it from too. Then begged for your regimen

Anyhoo, they had no right to disrespect you. I have laughed of tons of nasty comments but I would have showed my butt if they would have call me a b!tch.:nono:

Whoo ig'nant folks get on my nerves!!!

Envious women are pathetic. How did their hair look?

Yeah, and ummm, so do you cornrow your hair or do single plaits? What products do you use? Do you use rollers at the ends? Seriously, that braidout is so shiny and pretty, forget them and let's talk braidout technique. :look:

I hate when black b!tches try to be white acting like they can grow some hair.

I just came back to say, what is wrong with black people? I mean how is it that we really truly believe that are hair actually doesn't grow. I'm not talking about getting long, I'm talking about the fact that the majority of us are convinced that hair does not grow out of our scalps.

Are we just dumb? I can see how people don't understand about retention. But how does it even make sense that black people are the only humans whose hair doesn't actually grow?

My thoughts exactly. What is your technique cause that braiout is bang'n.

People are nasty from jealousy, but all I have to say is you're gorgeous and so is your hair!

Mama, I'm hot for you! I can handle the scalp rubs, but not being called a liar and otherwise called out of my name! I probably would have done some things and embarrassed myself, so I commend you. :yep:

Your hair was FIRE!

Success is the best form of revenge, not that you were seeking revenge but your hair is definitely worth commenting about!!!... Sadly that's a haters job - to hate on others!

We tend to criticize what we don't understand and it's obvious they are ignorant and have no understanding of how to properly grow their hair and realize that it is possible to grow African American hair.

Katt Williams puts it best, now you need how many more haters? Girl please, let those haters do what they do (hate) and you do YOU because can't nobody do it better!!!! You handled yourself very well and I applaud you for being a lady and walking away!

you know what...if i were you i would let them touch my hair. and right while they're in the middle of caressing your scalp ask them..
hey, do you feel anything moving?
i mean don't worry i used the lice treatment and all. i just wanna make sure it worked. if you feel a bug tho do me a favor and pull it out for me will ya? thanks *innocent smile*

Honey people dont' make sense. In the words of Pooty Tang

Saday tay on the tippy tie. That makes more sense than some people and their antics :look:

Please, that's a weave

I keed, I keed :lachen: Most people assume my hair is a weave. I used to be very :ohwell: about it, until I once saw a picture of me my friend had taken from the side and my hair was this huge, wiggy looking thing and I was like  it does look like a weave! I guess I'm just too fabulous to be real :yep:
Their rudeness was inexcusable :nono: I'm relatively laid back, but I draw the line at people touching me without my consent. People make me sick sometimes.

Kami, you handled yourself so well. They were seriously just jealous. I know this because I'm jealous as well. Your hair is amazing, and it's something that black women don't seem to be able to obtain without some serious knowledge of haircare, which takes dedication and research.

They wer vile to say and do those things to you. I hope your flipped your hair over your shoulder when you walked away. LoL. That would have really pissed them off.

Keep doing you. You're one of my hair idols--and with hair like yours I wouldn't mind hair haters. :)

Your hair is so beautiful!!!!

I don't care if it looks like a weave, they had no right to speak to you the way they did! I've had people ask me what hair I used, which I laugh at and tell them it's my hair but I've never had any idiot rake their filthy fingers through my hair.

You handled it with class, HHG :-)

I know how you feel, haters have been doing that to me for years. But, you know it yours and that's all that matters. If they wanna walk around bald-headed for the rest of theirs lives instead of getting some advice, oh well, their loss!:nono:

By the way, your rockin that outfit.
