I can understand why she said that. There are so many people and companies out there selling products that claim to make your hair "thicker, longer, stronger" but the person selling it is wearing a weave or a lacefront, or their models are (just look at a relaxer box or in black hair magazine and you'll see what I mean). As a potential customer, many people are just skeptical about things because it seems like everybody's lying.
She was saying what other people have probably been thinking. Maybe you should think about making a video to prove that it's your hair. It can't hurt. And those people who were too shy to ask or doubting you may end up being your new customers.

Indeed
I try to...but that was funny lol I guess I don't invest that much time/energy trying to "prove" people wrong, just don't have the interest
I can understand that as well but she made an accusation stating that it isn't her real hair and that's false. Thus possibly causing damage to anyone that was thinking about buying her product not to.
I could understand more if she asked for more pictures or proof but she didn't. She claims she saw fake hair and that the OP was lying.
This is true! lol funny how I always thought the same thing. have some "real" representatives to represent the product, why don't cha'...But I guess I need to mention, like the man in the hair commercial use to say: "I am not only the hair club president I am also a client".
To add: I guess I would have used more discretion, in my approach, if I wanted to address someone regarding my skepticism, than to attempt to make them look fraudulent
Trust me. You could type back and forth with that girl (and yes I said girl because she's being VERY immature) until the tips of your fingers go numb, she's still not going to believe you. She's stubborn and bitter because her hair won't grow, so she ASSumes that every woman that's the same race as her can't grow long either. As a matter of fact, you are doing her a favor. You can't be a successful hater without someone to hate on. You're giving her something to occupy her time .
As far as the bolded, how do you know that she's stubborn, bitter, her hair won't grow, and she's immature? Why does someone have to be a hater just because she's made a statement you may not agree with?
Frankly, when I found LHCF I wasn't stubborn and bitter, but I surely did not believe that black women could have long hair. It was an assumption based on my personal experience (I never knew anyone with longer than SL hair who wasn't mixed) and the reality that black women usually only have long hair if it's a weave.
She's not being a hater, she's probably going with what she knows. Yes, she may be ignorant but most of us were until we learned more about haircare, whether it was on our own or here. Cut the woman some slack y'all.
...I take this as a compliment,do you? Here is the comment that was left on my youtube channel:
"girl you know thats a weave ive looked at all ur vids cause i wanted to try the product but your hair stays the same do some vids parting it and all that make me a believer im not convinced keep it real with your customers. and in certain parts of the vids i can see your real hair sticking out."
It is SUCH a compliment. Weave hair is usually perfect. One time I was in the salon getting my hair done and when he was finished this lady said to the stylist "that's a weave right"?, and he said, "no, that's hers"...then there was dead silence. I felt so good that my hair must've looked that good.
First of all, calling someone a LIER that is telling you the hair that's growing out of her scalp is her hair is being a hater, and when you also go so far as to fabricate evidence of tracks that is more evidence of being a hater. And the fact that she was in disbelief that a woman the same ethnicity as hers could grow that long leads me to believe that she's having trouble growing her hair. And she is being immature for nit-picking over such a trivial matter such as the hair that grows from another woman's head. I'm sympathizing and comforting the OP, who was insulted by this rude woman in a comical way. I'm not going to sugar coat my words for a woman that didn't bother to phrase her words delicately for the OP, who did nothing to her.
This woman doesn't know Patience from a can of paint so accusing her of lying about her hair isn't all that big of a deal really, she doesn't know if Patience is a trustworthy person especially because she's selling something. Most folks who sell things, especially in the hair growth/care arena, LIE shamelessly.
Second, she thought she saw tracks. So? They weren't there, which is great. But it's a video, lighting and everything else can make things seem to be there even if they aren't.
Third, while in general it may be a trivial matter in this instance it's not. Patience is selling a product and using her own hair as proof that the product works. As a potential customer it's important to feel that the person selling something is telling the truth so that you don't get taken. The woman felt like she saw something and voiced her opinion about it, even though she could have done it in a nicer way.
Everybody is not a hater. Jeez, get over yourselves. If I am watching a video by someone who is selling a hair growth oil and I think they have a weave, then that doesn't make me a hater even though I may be mistaken. It just means I don't want to waste my money on something that doesn't work. And yes, posting the comment may be the person's way of warning others. It could have been done more tastefully, but it's her right to have a different opinion.
Been there, done that. On LHCF and off. And that's without hair that's even SL at the moment! Long or short you'll hear that if you have healthy hair. Curly or straight -doesn't matter.
Take it as a compliment and keep rolling. You look lovely!
when i where my hair out most (black) ppl think its a weave and when i tell them no they try and argue w/ me asking me where i got my hair from
i would just take it as a compliment and keep rollin'

Wow, they actually try and argue with you! That ish is funny! The audacity of some people hold no bounds!
LOL, that woman is real serious about this
Checkmate, I agree with msa that you should do a video to prove you have real hair - simply because you're selling products and you want to make the customers feel as comfortable as possible with buying from you. Forget that lady, don't even respond to her.. yea she's annoying, but just think about the big picture.
Ok, so you're a "hater" if you question whether someone is telling the truth or not about their hair?
If I asked Patience straight up, is you hair real? That makes me a hater? I guess there are a lot of haters around here then.
Girl, just do a video, then there will be no reason for folks to "hate". If they don't believe you after that, then that's on them.
