Yes, i finally made it to a year without a relaxer!!! I have been noticing that my curls have been coming back ever so slightly, but today is the proof! I did a wash n go style this morning, adding only a little La Bella Hair Gel and a few sprays of CHI Silk Fuzion...air dry...and i am in love!!! I have a lot of shrinkage now because my relaxed ends are starting to comply with the curling process a little more...but no complaints. Just beautiful curls and volume. I can not wait to get home to take photos to share, but I just had to share my great hair day with everyone! Are there any other ladies with SL curly hair that would like to share there secrets to curly hair?? Summer is here, and although I love my flat-iron --- i love my curlies too!

Okay...so here are those pics i promised! :) The first two are results from a flat - iron with Chi Silk Fuzion and Olive Oil and the last two are my Wash n go style.

CONDITIONER IS MY BEST FRIEND.

No seriously, I want it on a t-shirt.

I will admit, seeing my curls for the first time about 10 months into my transition is what did it for me. Congrats! Have you ever been natural before? (Well...you know what I mean...have you transitioned before)

Im relaxed but not straight so i wet and go all the time when the weather gets warm and i love my curls. the shrinkage is crazy though but i love my big poofy hair.

If you want your curls to form with no frizz you can buy Frizz ease by john freida for curly hair its a conditioner that does wonders for curly hair

Me too!!!! It does wonders in the mornings:lick:

Well, i am multiracial, and as a little girl, i had curly hair that my mother didn't know how to take care of yet. So, i never embraced the curls, but i did see photos of how beautiful they were. I got a relaxer at 14 and i kept going all the way up until last year. I was able to get some curlies, but not a lot back, so i am hoping to revive the curl pattern and length! It seems like APL is taking FOREVER to get here!!!!!:wallbash:

YAAAY!!!!!

Thank you!!! Your hair is beautiful!! It is the closest I've seen to my curl pattern on here! Except mines is a lot shorter. My curls are weird though...but i will show you later in photos. Some parts of my hair are frizzy, so are really coily, some are loose waves...just strange!:nono:

Thanks! I miss the Thank you button btw...lol

But, i loveeee big hair too, wild curls, but not the frizz. I will have to try John Frieda, I keep hearing good things about it. I don't want anything to weigh my hair down too much though.
