A type 3a person wants to wear her hair curly, what should she wash with and what styling products could she use? What leave-in? Are there any 'poos that help plump up the curls?

I suggested to wash with DivaCurl No poo and thought of the Curls products. Can anyone give me a step by step for this person to use? I've never done a WnG so I have no ideas....

Thanks!

Deva Curl is great. Try the Deva Curl lo poo or no poo shampoo. (if her hair is dry, tell her get the no poo) Use the Deva Curl deep conditioner, i forget the name but its in a jar. ( i just recommended these prods to someone. i have used them and they are fantastic, but my co worker who is 3a curl type uses them faithfully)

shampoo
condition for at least 15 minutes
rinse but leave some of the condish behind or apply a small dab after rinsing to use as a leave in
then tell her to plop her curls in a tshirt for 10 minutes (you can find video tutorials on how to plop curls on youtube. it's easy.)
after taking tshirt off, don't touch curls and let them air dry

works like a charm!

naturallycurly.com is also a great resource website for curly girls where she can find info for curly heads by curl type as well. that info is awesome. you can find product reviews, styling techniques and a forum for curly heads too :)

hope that helps in the meantime

Any styling products you could recommend?
The woman is in her 60s+ and really does NOT want to fuss with her hair. Not sure if she'll even DC.
I'll check naturallycurly.com
Thanks a mil!

well she can shampoo in the shower and just leave the conditioner in her hair while she showers, then rinse.

as far as products, Deva Curl has a great line.

also, Garnier Sleek and Shine LEave in Conditioner & Garnier Curl Sculpting Gel or Cream? is great too for light curl definition for hair that doesn't need to be weighted down to much to keep it;s curl.
