Tips for Maintaining Curls With Curling Iron??

I am a 4zzzzz relaxed head, and would like to know what types of products I can use on my hair for it to hold curls from a curling iron. I have tried hairspray with no success. I've also tried the curling wax and that doesn't work. If I set my hair while wet the curls will last forever, but when I try to curl my hair with a flat iron or curling iron the curls will fall literally over the course of 15 - 30 minutes!!!

I'd really appreciate if someone would please share tips on how to hold curls when curling hair with a curling iron. TIA!

I would also like to know the answer because my hair is the same way. My solution was to give up the irons and only wet-set my hair (Kayne shrug).

I have to roll it at night. That's the only way it'll stay. I've also found that if I do the curls on wash day they hold longer. I have no idea why but it works. I can forget curling iron curls.

Use a wrap foam/setting lotion before your blowdry and curling
