Wow, well I'm sure there's a market for it out there. I'm definately not part of it! At the moment I've been toying with the idea of purchasing a Joico K-pak or L'occitane Repair line product, which will set me back between $15 - $30 ... let alone spending $200  :lachen: :drunk:

If he knows like I know he betta sell all he can before a LHCF mixologists disects a bottle and puts the ingredients and a knockoff recipe in here for general consumption.

*patiently waiting for the knockoff recipe*

I know one of our expert mixologist can help us budget sensitive folks out.

In my eyes, this is the difference between the RICH and the WEALTHY. I'm not talking millionaires vs. billionaires or old money vs. new money. I'm talking about the mindset behind the money, regardless of the amount.

What I've seen is that the rich want to show others how much money they have by buying designer clothes, hair product, shoes, cars, etc. The wealthy doesn't need to "show out." Yeah, they live well, but they're in the habit of making smart purchases, getting their money's worth. I'm speaking in generalities...

Even if I had the money to spend $200 on serum and not make a dent, I wouldn't. I'd still buy my $2.95 Blue Magic Coconut Oil, $1 Suave, mix up my pre-poo in the kitchen, etc. Why? Because it works for me. Money won't change the hair that grows on my head.

If the product was guaranteed to grow hair to the floor, I wouldn't buy it. What kinda chemicals or hormones would have to be added to make that happen, and what would that do to the rest of my body?

ITA!!!!!!!!:yep:

**** that here are the ingrediants im bout to make my own :Water (Aqua), Cyclopentasiloxane, Orchis Maculata Flower Extract, Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavender) Oil, Tocopheryl Acetate, Hydroxypropyltrimonium Hydrolyzed Silk, Retinyl Palmitate, Fragrance (Parfum), Glycerin, PEG-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Panthenol, Methylparaben, Dimethicone, Disodium Edta, aModimethicone, Cetrimonium Chloride, PEG-12 Dimethicone, Steartrimonum Chloride, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Trideceth-12.

I wouldn't buy the serum but I did end up at his salon 3 years ago. I paid a grip but it was one of the most relaxing trips to the salon that I had ever had. I was a 3rd year nappy and I wanted my hair colored at the Aveda Institute in NY. They were closed for the Thanksgiving Holiday and I was referred to two other salons. I ended up at Ted's and out of pride I stayed smh, lol! I got a banging highlight and single process color, trim, blow dry and flat iron for around $250. A caucasian woman master colorist did my hair and she was gentle. Ted himself came through and of course complimented my haid and her work. I wish I had pics :(.

Ummmm h*** to the naw!!! I probably can get something from paul mitchell or aveda that will work the same or better....O better yet I could whip it in the kitchen.

I think some people figure since they have a great name in the business they can charge whatever and people will buy it because the name is familiar. It could be made by my grandaddys uncles mommas daughters cousin jim bo john...I'm not spending my money on that lol

I use his hair styling hair sheets every time I flat iron and they work really well, but I would NEVER spend that much money on a hair product, and I'm a full, fledged PJ! I could put some plantation shutters up on one of my windows, buy a new wardrobe, buy a week and a half worth of groceries for that much. NO THANKS, I'll manage without it.
