I was trying to figure out what the Denman brush was. Is it a brush that you put your products in and it gets distributed in your hair??? This darn boar hair brush does absolutely nothing for my attention-craved scalp :perplexed

I  my Denman! Works wonders for my natural daughters. It makes their curls pop outta control!

I just bought this brush today and used it to detangle my hair as I was blow drying it. OMG I'm so IN LOVE with this brush. It even detangled my ends which I was only able to detangle with a hard round brush. I will be throwing away my old goody brush and round brush TODAY!

I got a D3 for Sally's it was on sale for $6.99

It's a detangling brush. It's really good about detangling and removing shed hairs as opposed to breaking your hair. It also smooths your hair and would probably be helpful in distributing product.

i have a D9 heavy

Thank you for explaining! ...... another product to add to my list

I bought a D4 a couple of months before but it wasn't working out for me. It felt like it was ripping through my hair. I'll try using it again now that my hair is more managable. I have the D12 as well that I use when I'm doing braids, twist or a rollerset to smooth my hair out. I always detangle with my wide tooth comb first.

Where'd you get the D9 heavy? That sounds heavy duty, cause this one I have is getting kinda weak for me and my tangles. :lachen:

I pre-detangle with a shower comb first; just mentioning it because someone said it.

I got a really good Denman knockoff from my local BSS for $2. I think it is by Annie's. It looks exactly the same except the handle is beige not black. And it feels/works the same.

Ok so is it only for natural hair, or is it for both and just happens to work better on natural hair?

you can use it on relaxed hair too... but it clumps curls of natural hair so the curls pop! Kinda like shingling without doing the shingling. LOL!
