Have you seen her siggie lately? OMG!! That woman forced me to pull out my flexirods and had me smooth down, squirting and twirling my butt off last night :lachen:.

She's a temptress I tell ya, watch out for that woman, she'll have you doing stuff you really had no intention of actually doing.

Start to finish:

So far so good, right? Until I got to the back, where I couldn't see.

Ugh. 1. Maybe too much hair. 2. Too big a rod. 3. Arm length wouldn't allow me to stretch out the hair well enough or 4. Combo of all the above.

Oh yea, notice the middle part problem?! :lachen:

So I very lightly used my flatiron to smooth out the roots and try to ease up the center part without brushing the ish out of the set.....:ohwell: It's the best I could do and I'll live with it :)

So anyway I want to say thanks Dlewis for providing such a lovely siggie photo of YOUR flexiset (pretty sure that's what you used, correct if I'm wrong hehe).

I was considering it earlier but nixed the idea for the twists but you gave me a much needed :poke: to just do the darn thing.

:bighug:

Wow Lynnie, Your hair looks great. You make me want to experiment again with the blue rollers.

I went by Sally last night and picked up a couple packages of the smaller one (green and red). First I got to use these mesh rollers.

Lynnie what did you use the paper for? How many roller do you think you used?

I always have problems with the back to.:nono:

Thanks lady!! The end papers I used to help smooth the ends and keep them from being frizzy. I squirt some oil on a big wad of them first. Looks like a lot of oil but it really isn't, most stays on the paper but my ends are so smooth and "conditioned".

I used my bonnet dryer. I used about 30 but figure if I'd used all big ones or all smaller ones, that # would change.

My husband's face was like :nono::perplexed WHAT are you doing?! and he just had himself a royal laughfest at my expense :lachen:.

He ain't laughin now, the bugger

Looks great! Your hair is so beautiful and thick LynnieB :) Me so jealous (in a good way though )

I did a flexi set last night inspired by DLewis too.I need to get my cam and upload some pics.I didn't spread the hair out enough and it came out reeeeaaalllll curly.

LynnieB and Dlewis, your flexirod sets are so beautiful! So you're doing this on wet hair? Would it work on dry/damp hair you think?
Trying not to have to use a hooded dryer for hours on end...

Lawd, glad I wasn't the only one . I bet it came out beautiful! Please post your pics, I'd (we'd) love to see!!

came out very nice now i'm mad at you with my short hair will attempt to do that lol

VettaVetta, thanks!

You know hair grows missy!! You'll be at your goal in no time, just keep doing what you do!

They have all sizes of flexirods and I know you could do a great set with the right size rollers no matter the length.

You know about straw sets right? Flexi's are like an easier version of the straw set but you can pick and choose how wide a coil you want! Go for it, have some fun with your hair and please post pics!!

It looks good. Did you do that on dry hair, only using the dryer to "set" the do?

No bgsix, soaking wet hair. I also used diluted lotta body (what's in the H-two bottle) to keep it soaking wet.

betty-boo, like D, mine were on soaking wet hair. It might work good on damp hair but not sure about the dry.

I considered airdrying but by the time I got done poo/conditioning I was looking at having to sleep in those jokers (:nono:) so I broke out the dryer.

It wasn't bad - about an hour total and took breaks to cook dinner.

Only an hour? well, I'm going to have to try this for the weekend! Thanks LynnieB for sharing your gorgeous pics!!!

Yes ma'am. I found the beauty of flexirods is that you have more hair exposed to air because of the spiraling.

Less hair exposed to air (dryer or airdry) the longer it takes to dry.

More hair exposed, less time to dry.

One more reason to keep the flexirods in mind when you want to do something new.

Looks great! I love how flexi sets dry faster then rollers. I was at the BSS today and some girl asked me how to use flexis. It is such a great and easy style!

Your set looks good. So does DLewis'. I was going to do a set too (you're right, it is contagious) but I need to pick up some more rods from Sally's tomorrow.

Looks  to me. You have a hard bonnet dryer? I bought a soft bonnet precisely so I could do stuff like that and my head with all the curlers can't fit under the bonnet! And you only used 30? How did you do it? Mine were a complete failure.

Thanks mwedzi and yes I've a hard bonnet dryer and because of the way the flexirods were layered on top of each other and sticking out every which way, it was a tight fit!! What surprised me is that it still dried fast since the hair is spread out over the length of the rod.

Even the rods in the back dried and those were hanging out the bottom.

30 worked but the back could have used more, maybe even a size smaller because I just couldn't pull the hair taut enough; as soon as I secured it, I felt the rods loosening up by was like "fudge it!", not rolling another hair tonight ;).

Mwedzi, try smaller rollers and less hair per roller, make sure the hair's soaking wet.
