ok...its official, i am going to be getting some flexirods.....your hair is smashing!!!!

LynnieB, I've been watching your progress for 2 yrs now. Your hair looks beautiful! How long is it now? Mid back length?

Yes ma'am. I found the beauty of flexirods is that you have more hair exposed to air because of the spiraling.

Less hair exposed to air (dryer or airdry) the longer it takes to dry.

More hair exposed, less time to dry.

One more reason to keep the flexirods in mind when you want to do something new.

Oh yes! This makes a LOT of sense. I may prefer doing this than using my magnetic rollers!

Thanks BostonMaria! We BC'd just a few months apart and are part of the Big Chop Class of '07  You're getting really great growth too! :yep:

I've reached midback (but have those natural layers since BC). Hopefully will get WL by summer/fall of '09 (barring unforeseen circumstances).

Very pretty, i like it! Did you do it on dry hair?

Hey Wheezy - no, don't think dry hair would work for me. My natural hair needs to be very wet to get a good, lasting set. I did these on wet hair.

:grin:your hair looks sooooooooooooo cute!.. I like the pic with the bright pink headband. your hair looks so bouncy I hope you had fun with all those curls.

Your hair came out soo good! I have tried flexi rods twice on my natural hair and wasn't pleased with either result. I may have to revise my techinique.

ETA: how long does your set last? I can only get mine to last a day and that's it.

Wow! I love it. I was told I'd never be able to get a good flexi set after going natural. I'm so excited you both just proved my friend wrong. I will definately give it a try! Thanks!

Good Lord, between you and DLewis, yall are making me want to give flexi's on mo' try...you both got beautiful results!

Lynnie ... your hair is absolutely gorgeous as usual!!! :yep::yep::yep::yep:

Maaaaaaaaaaaaannn ... y'all got a sistah wanting to give the Flexis one more go. The last time I tried it, it turned out to be a frizzy mess ... probably because I airdried them. I'll sit under the dryer next time and maybe I'll get better results.

Lynnie - your spirals came out great!

I'm all about saving money so.....

for those who are trying to buy flexirods, please do a search on Ebay for 288 perm rods. This seller sells 288 rollers, a whole lot are flexirods of different sizes (orange, blue, purple..plus some perm rods, etc...) and it costs about $20-25 instead of paying $5-6 for a package of 6 flexirods. They don't have the really big ones, but if you don't need them this is a great way to get them for less. I am not associated with this seller in any way, just tryin to help a sista out.
