Quick question...I thinking I'm complicating myself...I'm going to use the AO for DCing...do I need to follow with a moisturizing conditioner or is that step suffice?
The AO is your moisturizing conditioner. Anything above and beyond that will give you mushy hair IMO.

Wow...i washed my hair tonite with AO Honeysuckle and I'm extremely pleased. On top of that i gave the Hawaiian Silky 14 n 1 a try and now I'm in Hair Heaven. Thanks LHCF!

Yea, I left it on for an hour. I don't have a hair dryer so I held my blow dyer over my head for a while then wrapped it with towel. Does AO really need heat or can I get away without heat next time?

If I had to pick definitely AO HSR. Humecto is too sometimey for me, so I don't use it anymore.

Same here! AO consistently moisturizes my hair, even if I don't use heat. By comparison, the Humecto was only effective sometimes, depending on where I bought and whether or not it was in the big tub or the little bottle. A sistah ain't got time for "sometimeyness".

I didn't like AO when I tried it. I do really like Keracare Humecto. I may try AO again in the future, when I don't have a sew in.

I thought the real debate was between Keracare Humecto v. Nexxus Humectress?

I prefer the natural route and chose AO Honeysuckle. Humecto has parabens. However, I try to not use the AO Honeysuckle without following with a clarifier or ACV. It tends to weigh my hair down and result in build up if used too often.

I must be in the minority here. For some reason AOHSR leaves my hair hard and tangled. I've tried it as a pre-poo conditioner, deep conditioner, overnight with or without heat . It gives no slip and the end result is the same-hard,dry hair:ohwell:. It literally feels like tarmac on my hair. I much prefer AO's GBP conditioner.
I've used the humecto in the past and it was much better on my hair than the HSR.

That AO left my hair feeling like butter. I'm real happy so far. I hope this is a consistent product. And the price is right up my alley.

Never tried the AO,but for me, humecto is the devil in a bottle!
My hair was so hard and tangled after using that mess...i have never seen my hair do anything like that before.
I dc'ed like hell after using it and my hair is still not back to normal...oh well...its off to ULTA today!

i voted for humecto because i love this conditioner with heat.
but i must admit AO HSR is much more moisturizing and the good thing about it is that you dont have to use it with heat or even for a long period of time in order for it to be effective.

I'm almost done using up my Humecto tub (after 1 year) and I just bought AO Honeysuckle Rose yesterday and used it last night for the first time ever and it's AMAZING. It's very moisturizing. I took advise from other ladies on this board and mixed it with EVOO on wet hair and sat under the dryer with a plastic cap for 1 hour and um, um, um, :lick: my new pure moisturizing staple!

You just made me buy this! lol.

AO HSR
All the way
Its one of my favorite staple when it comes to moisturizing CON. Love it.

Yes, but the vitamin shoppe is much cheaper. I think it's like 8 and change.

I Looooove AO Honeysuckle Rose. It's perfect for pure moisture !
To me it's best on wet hair, and to leave it in over night! So heavenly!

When I bought AOHS @ WHole foods, it was the same price....I guess either will do.

I will have to say AO HSR. I like Keracare too but AO HSR is in a different league.

ETA: I don't know if I still agree with the sentiments expressed above. My hair likes the ORS Replenishing Conditioner better than both of these.

I love Humecto (especially with heat)!

AOHR made my hair feel funny...just didn't work for me.

When I was relaxed my hair was not feeling HSR, especially with heat. It was nice as a regular rince out conditioner on soppping wet hair though. As a natural HSR has so much slip and moisture it gives me a hairgasm every time:lick:

I love AO HSR! I add honey & coconut oil to it and it's wonderful..not that you need to b/c it's great by itself also. KeraCare Humecto was terrible on my hair. It wasn't moisturizing at all and didn't detangle either. Ugh! What a waste of moola that was for me. AO HSR is a MUST in my house.
