I'm so loving this thread! Maybe other aspects of modest dress will catch on and become hip? Then I won't look like such a wierdo

I am Muslim and I did not take any offense to what any one has said. Hijab as the sister has said is more than just covering the hair, but it can also be fashionable. If not then why do we have scarves in different colors, patterns and sizes? Hijabs are beautiful and look beautiful on sisters. To each his own. I love to make my scarves look fabulous!!!! I wear my scarf in a bun as well, but I wear a turtle neck sweater and the ends of my scarves are brought to the front to cover my breast. I would also like to see what others come up with.
Here are a few nice styles. I have no idea how to create. I would adjust it to my needs alittle to cover certain areas.
Right... all the ones I have posted cover the neck and head...
but maybe other posters interpretation to making this look
flyy it to just wear the scarf that covers the head and loose
the neck part... that's why it's a challenge...
it is kind of hard to make it look flyy without looking too literal.
I think these two I posted are very close the the idea I had in mind when
started this thread... it borrows ideas from the hijab and makes it look
fashion forward and not so much like a Hijab.

Thank you.
What blatant disrespect for a religion. Thats like asking can you color on the pages of your bible or can you wear a yamaka to make your bun look cooler.erplexed
I'm assuming you mean head accessories and scarves, right, SouthernTease?
its sold out. who is guilty of buying it. come on people!!! they just have this ugly green color left.where else can i find that scarf? lol thanks

Not for nothing but I think I look fly in my hijab.
Oooh I really enjoyed these - especially the blog. When I 1st got n2 healthy hair, I wore a silk scarf/some type of wrap 4 a year straight & my hair really thrived.
R u ladies that practice hijab 4 religious reasons seeing good results b/c of having ur hair covered most of the time? When & where r u allowed to not have the hijab on?
I don't wanna kill the thread lol, but the meaning of Hijab must have been misunderstood, It's not supposed to look fly
Although I get the idea, and im in since I wear hijab anyway![]()
you are welcome glad I could share!
Im not sure actually since Ive always worn hijab...even before my hair journey and had long hair then too.
You are required to wear Hijab in the presence of males who you are permitted to marry. In Islaam you have males that are mehram and non mehram. Mehram would be father brother son nephew uncle grandfather grandson and these are people you dont have to wear Hijab in front of because you cant marry them. Anybody else co-worker neighbour brother in law, friend etc (who you could technically marry) you MUST wear Hijab in thr presence of.
And just a side note men are required to observe a "hijab" of sorts also. They are required to be modest also and cover not just women.
its sold out. who is guilty of buying it. come on people!!! they just have this ugly green color left.where else can i find that scarf? lol thanks
Thanks 4 explaining. So basically family or a group of all women. I do have just 1 more question, though? Does this apply once u r married since technically u can't marry another once u're married? Sry if this seems dumb.![]()
