I wish I could 2nd that :wallbash: I'm ready to start bunning :yep: hair it too short

I felt the same way so I JUST start wear a Fall / Half Wig. It feels good to change this up a bit! Maybe something like that would help?

I got that way not too long ago, especially since my hair is only long enough for one type of bun, but I realize that it's worth it. So, I'm going to try to stick with it a while longer.

yeah I'm tired of it too
Tonight I'm going to rollerset my hair and leave it straight for a few days. Then its back to bunning again for at least another month.

Dear poster, I'm not sure how long you've been bunning? I've bunned consistently for 11 weeks now and that was my longest bunning time EVER and my first. :yep:

So maybe you'll find it encouraging to know that I'm now a few inches from APL and it's all because of bunning. I know I can make full APL by April if I just hang in there. Today I'm wearing my hair down and it feels great. But tomorrow it's going right back up into a bun.

I wear a donut bun or a tuck under bun with bangs and spiral curled bangs - it helps.

My husband just told me: "Wow your hair has really grown and it's all because of wearing it up."

That's all the encouragement I need to keep retaining my length and avoid trimming, by bunning. Hang in there. We understand.

Tell me about it! :wallbash: :wallbash:

In fact, I'm wondering if maybe my bunning and pulling my hair back all the time is actually doing more harm than good. :nono: I don't pull my hair back too tightly, but my edges are looking thinner than usual these days, and I'm wondering if I'm unknowingly putting more stress on my hair by pulling it back alllllll the time? :ohwell:

*sigh* Plus, I just look better with my hair out. I look cuter, more feminine. When I pull my hair back, I look boring. :( Not as many compliments...I look so young too.... :-/

 Wow, I am so surprised by all of the responses to my venting! You ladies are the best!

I will suck it up and continue to bun because I know, in the end, it will be worth it.

Thanks again!!

I'm tired too OP but my progress is so worth it! Like someone else said, Keep your eyes on the prize! Bunning has also made me extremely lazy...I don't even feel right wearing my hair down yet.

I've been bunning for the past 3 weeks, 7 days a week. I look forward to bunning each morning, but I also get bored easily...My big worry now is what if I do all this bunning but my hair still won't grow. Is there a before and after thread showing progress from bunning? I need some motivation to keep it going for the next 49 weeks!

well i just started wet bunning again and i am bored already. my hair is 1 inch from bsl so wearing my hair out isnt causing breakage but lately when i flat iron my hair looks so dull and dry even when i moisturize. and im trying to get to right under my bs before i start wearing it out again. people have been telling me how much my hair has grown and im scared to mess that up with too much heat. im planning on going to my stylist in december to get a light dusting(love the fact that she does not trim) and i want my hair to be at least 2 inches longer by that time. one can only hope.
so i willl have to just suck it up and bun.

I hear you! I have fine hair and bunning isn't doing me much good.

I'm not bunning because I'm trying to grow my hair out, but because with my current situation, it's the most convenient style. However, my hair continues to thin in my nape and sides. I try to move my bun around (to prevent over-stressing one area), but I can't move it too high or my nape hairs fall down :wallbash:.

I don't know what to do anymore ...

I've been bunning for over three years!! Talk about boring. LOL!!!

Hang in there, it's worth it.

I hear ya... I'm wearing my hair in braids, which I am bunning. (Bunning my hair without them was making my ends dry, raggedy and chewed up. Wearing my hair braided is cutting down on the detangling, etc.) But it's still boring!

What helps me is putting cute hairsticks in my buns. I got some nice ones that are green and pink with a pic of a geisha on them and beads that dangle down... only $1.

Yeah, bunning will drive a woman mad :look:. You have to get creative with it and add some decorative clips or sticks. I remember DLewis did a really cute bun with some gold decorative beads pinned into it.

Your ends will so thank you when this is all said and done :yep:

I got tired of bunning too. Now I've found a new protective style--two Indian braids. I just part my hair in two sections, moisturize and seal, then braid the two parts and coat the ends with shea butter to prevent them from unraveling and scarf. When I wake up in the morning I just take the two ends and clip them up so that they are out of the way, but on the week-ends I let the braids fall or I'll wear a braid out ponytail or bun.

I just started bunning this week and will continue to do it until January 09. This is my first time trying it, but I am excited to see the results. I am currently a few inches away from APL.

me too!!!! ready to bc!!! *sigh* been bunning since October with few breaks! don't like braids or weaves. can't flatty all the time. Going to try rod setting. grrrrr!
