I washed my hair and squeezed it out only to look in the mirror and see a afro consuming my head! I have no idea how 4 inches of NG managed to suck my relaxed ends in and turn it into an afro... but that's what it was. I mean... I have 6 inches of scraggly hair fighting with 4 inches of healthy, thick hair...

Its exactly the same size and shape (diff texture though) as the mom on Good Times (Im watching it on TV1)...:nono: I cant be walking around like that... I am not fierce enough to have a small fro.:wallbash:

What makes it worse is... THERE IS SO MUCH SHRINKAGE! My wet hair is literally an afro, it doesn't even hang past my chin anymore, even though my hair is about APL at its longest. It just sits there, with straggly engs hanging out.

If I wasn't so obsessed with staying close to APL (even if its with 3 strands of hair).. I would have BC without a second thought. When it's straight its not so bad... :ohwell:

Why does my hair have to be so ate up?

My head is too big to be trying to sport a little fro so soon... I hope I can last until November next year so I can at least have hair past my shoulders when its straight and a big enough afro to even out my big head.

This use to happen to me.

Shortly after joining the sight I discovered all kinds of things...and unfortunately I cant really say which one did the trick.

Here are the changes that I can think of that might have fixed it.

* Nizoral Shampoo (Make sure you do a really good conditioning)
* Flaxseed Oil
* MSM (Make sure you get a good brand)
* Carrot Juice
* More water

Thanks Nicole for your suggestions b/c this scalp thing is driving me crazy.:spinning:

I'm sorry to laugh but your post is too funny. I totally understand how you feel with the afro and then the ends. You painted a clear picture. I can't wear a wash 'n go for this reason, yet no way will I pick up a pair of scissors. I'm hanging onto my ends for the same reason, trying to make APL.

Okay why is it now that my hair is pretty healthy any even sniff of moisture and FLOOOOF.

Why did I spend two hours on Sunday blowdrying and whatnot only to walk out the door Monday thinking I'm cute, get to a mirror and realize my whole damn hairline went...FLOOOOF.

Why is it that my hair grows so unevenly?

Lots of shrinky NG in the kitchen, other areas not so much.

:wallbash:

And why am I craving wearing my hair more straight rather than texlaxed?

is it bun hangover? Am I that tired of it?

Somebody save me before I buy a flat iron.

I'm tired of the poof.

Why did I realize (after not noticing any NG) that for the past TWO MONTHS, I have been using MTG incorrectly!!!?? :wallbash: Instead of leaving it on for days, I have been using it hours before I prepoo and style!!!!! HALF A BOTTLE WASTED!!! GRRRRRR!! :rolleyes:

My left edges got me going WTF? Out of nowhere i noticed this. Not too sure what to do. I try not to sleep on my left side and I've been trying to wrap my hair in the other direction but I'm right-handed, and its hard to do.

I'm using rosemary,pepomint EO & GS Revitalizing balm...What else can yall suggest?

I realized that all of my hair didn't process when I texturized on 10/18. As I finished the last section of my head with twists yesterday I came across sections of hair that were still very much natural, and very tangled. No, not tangled --- knotted up :nono: !! I was so mad because the knots were an inch from my scalp and I had to cut them out because it was that bad :wallbash: !! I guess it kind of camouflaged a little with my texturized hair, but now I know that it *must* be treated differently until I can do a corrective!!

That's my vent for the day!

I relaxed the other day...and my hair was so severely underprocessed.The roots were straight,but the middle of the strand,between the roots and the prevoiusly relaxed hair was still about 85% natural.MY silly self decides to do a corrective...the very next day:ohwell:.Now my hair is shedding more than it was before.It's breaking a little too. Not much but more than before.
Edited:i deep conditioned with ORS and mixed some of my Keration oil in last night. the breaking an shedding has slowed up a lot. Still there,but doing better. I think it woujld have been much worse had i not mixed keratin oil in my relaxer.So my next problem is that since my hair is stiil underprocessed,it won't hold a curl or style or anything.i curled it one night,it was cute and bouncy so i went ahead and wrapped it. The side that it is more underprocessed on just stuck out when i undid my wrap:ohwell:.
I miss my braids so they are goign right back up.

My scalp is so dry and tight. It itches like hell.
I also hate that my hair is well moisturized when I leave the house, but by 9:00 its all dry as all get out.

yea you best believe and those are three of the healthiest strands of hair I have that are at my armpits. I REFUSE to chop:look:

Here goes my vent

I'm 10 weeks post
I planned on stretching 12-13 weeks(December 15th/22nd)
Now I went to stretch six months(March 1st)
I was going to do kinky twist to help but now I just don't know what to do...I'll see where I am at 12 weeks and go from there. Maybe I'll braid it down for a while and just wear a wig. I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO! Don'te let me get started on working out and trying to maintain my hair. URGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH :wallbash:

I'm 6 months into my transistion and I feel like cutting all my hair off!:wallbash: I'm getting bored with it :perplexed.

since its winter and it has gotten very cold my hair is shedding, which is normal for me but in the process of shedding the shed hairs are getting tangled. so its a pain to finger comb or do anything

then with my hair since it is longer and thicker i am really debating on whether i should texlax or something to alleve some of my hair issues. i feel like at this point my hair isn't getting longer like it should because of all the tangling and knotting that is happening

but i feel guilty even thinking of putting chemicals in my hair. i wanted to be natural and i am but i am missing the mark somewhere on my hair care and have no idea how to fix it

There are HUGE sections of my hair that are so ridiculously underprocessed. Like half of my friggin head. I don't know if I wanna do a "corrective" and risk overprocessing it or just grow it out. It's gonna take me like 2 years to grow out though. Sigh.
