I really wanted to get braids, but I didn't have the $ to do it myself. I knew how to put them in, but I didn't think I'd be able to do the back. Well, I was wrong. It probably took me around 12 hours total, but it was worth it.

Wow.. Beautiful job. How long did it take you?

Around 12 hours.

I did a few hours on Friday and from about 8:30-7 on Saturday.

It was tiring and I said next time I'm just gonna suck it up and pay the money, but honestly, it was a great feeling knowing I saved $150.

I would never pay again if I could do that. It looks great and just think you don't have to worry about the edges being too tight and all the other stuff that goes along with someone else doing it.

You did your own MUCH better than some braid jobs I've paid good money for!:yep:

gr8 job i also never thought i could do my own braids but have braided my mum n sister but beginning of this summer i just went for it it took me a weekend to finish and the back wasnt as bad as i thought it would be ..well done!!

Very cute!!!! I tried doing my braids myself and I got them in but I found that I braided them too big. I might take another stab at it one day. And looking at yours is very inspiring. What kind of hair did you use, syn. or human?

Do it! It's so worth it, LOL.

It's synthentic, some kind that you can actually apply heat to on a low temp.

They look great!
Every time I think about going to get them done by someone else, I just always see dollar bills with wings on them. That's why I keep doing my own.

I use two mirrors to do my hair so that I can see the back.

Good job and I love the added color without damaging your hair.
12 :spinning:hours of up lifted arms--{yup, I know you had to take breaks}!!

LOL.

Yeah, I had a little hand held mirror so that I could see the back.

you did a great job. And I agree I would never pay money again. Who knows the more you keep trying the faster you might get.

Girl, my neck was killing me yesterday from holding it all kinds of ways. LOL.

I took short breaks here and there.

U are an inspiration for me to do my own kinky twist. I'm going to start tonight in fact. Your braids came out lovely. You go!

I think when I take these out, I'm gonna try twists.

Good luck! Let us know how they turn out.

LOL.

Girl, do like I do.
Get two of those BIG mirrors from Wal-mart. I think they're like $5 a piece. They're the ones you say you can put on your wall. I prop those puppies up against two chairs and sit in the middle.

Then it's on!!!! :lachen::lachen:
