I braided my hair..:)

I am so happy I haven't braided my own hair in extensions in like 6 years ( I had braides since then but went to the african hair braiders). and I did it yesterday in a record time of 8 hours... medium braids. I'm trying to do the crown and glory technique.

So I will wash my hair once a week, and spray carefree curl creme mixed with water on my braids everyday to keep my hair mositurized ( don't feel like buying more products..braid spray..they have the same essential ingredients anyway...yes i checked). I braided my hair also because I didn't want my ends getting worst and I wanted my hair to grow without having to deal with it in the cold weather.

well we see ho wmuch growth I'll have in two months. Maybe I keep them in until the dec 17th challenge is over?

I take about 8 hours too if I do my hair in one sitting, (must have 4 movies to do that) but usually I do sections at a time and wear wraps or hats till I'm done.

Congratulations Shinka! I can't imagine braiding my own hair. That's a major accomplishment!
