Hey Ladies,

I researched spray bottle mixes and I know a million replies but this is specific for roller sets. I am reachin APL its getting ready to get cold and want to try roller setting weekly instead of cowashing/bunning daily, but am confused as to what to use and what ratio.

I hear rave reviews about Lacio Lacio but I don't know what ratio :look: *that rhymed* of product to water to use.

Can you help~ :ohwell:

Thanks:yep:

I use Poland Spring Water in a bottle. I put a leave in on first though over my entire head and then just re-wet with the water if the hair dries. Back when I put in leave-in AND had a spray bottle, my hair would come out rather limp like.

just did my first rollerset yesterday and used about 1/8 inch of lottabody and a squirt of serum that you use to flat iron and some sunsilk hairapy stuff to add volume. Pretty good, but it needs fine-tuning. (I love how the upturned curls look. And my ends look so healthy!) Next time, tiny bit of lottabody, some infusium leave in and a dab of oil with the water, maybe.

do you airdry your rollerset or get under a hooded dryer? Your hair always looks nice, shiny, very healthy!!

Thank you very much! :D I get under the dryer to dry, it takes about 45 mins to an hour depending on what temp I'm using. :yep:

how does your rollerset come out with this mixture?

So far I've only used this mixture with curlformers (I'll use it on a rollerset tomorrow). But my curls come out VERY BOUNCY and light and springy. They move when I walk. :D Stayed soft and moisturized all day, too. I also sealed with a little coconut oil.

Plain water. I apply Giovanni Direct Leave-in and seal with a serum, then rollerset with plain water. I get the best rollerset results when I use minimal products.

What she said! That's exactly what I do.

So far my take on what most people are doing is putting the leave-in/product in their hair first then just keeping it wet with water??

I mix Lacio Lacio and plain water in my spray bottle. I use probably 2 or 3 squirts of Lacio Lacio and add plain water. THe rollerset comes out beautiful and the shine lasts for days.

I thank you all soo much for the responses. Keep them coming. I am so excited to try roller sets.

In the meantime, I have been using Paul Mitchell Leave-In Moisturizer. I add Lottabody (ready-to-use kind) to my hair, then apply more water with my comb to each section before and after detangling.

I am happy with this, but I am going to try other products and remedies. But it's true, less is best. :yep:

Bottle 1--Very dilute lottabody--been using this since I was in 6th grade, can't give it up! Bottle 2--infusium 23, usually diluted. Bottle 3--10 en 1 superconcentrated leave-in.

Bumping this thread for more responses. A Forum with thousands of members and only a hand full of rollersetters :look:.

You're exactly right.

This is the order that I apply my leave in's:
1. Green Grape Leave-In Condish by Shescentit
2. Kera Care Wrap Foam
3. Serum, usually Chi silk infusion or Nuetrogena Triple Moisture Serum

Then I have cold spring water from the fridge in my water bottle, I mist each section before rolling. The cold water seals the cuticle and I get my silkiest, shiniest sets when my hair is soaking wet. :yep:

That's what I am going to do just add the product then saturate with plain water in my spray bottle. I just ordered my Dominican Conditioner and Leave-In from Round Brush Hair and the girl on the phone also said it was best to put in product first then spritz with water :yep:. Can't wait to try it.

The smallest size at every BSS--probably about 4-6 ounces. The mixture is grayish. I learned it from the ladies at my DS, they call it their "doobie spray." If I run out of Lacio Lacio, I use Salerm 21 the same way.

I have to try this technique. It makes perfect sense to do it this way. Thanks for sharing this nugget of wisdom!!!!!

I first use HE LTR leave in... profective anti breakage strengthener
My spray bottle has only water and amla oil

that makes my curls shiny and soft and they last too

Just regular tap water.

For the last month I've been deep conditioning with Victoria's Secret So Sexy Conditioner( it smells so yummy!! ).....then using just a little Qhemet Biologics Amla and Olive Heavy Cream as my leave in, oil my scalp with Been Mine serum, then rollerset!

I squirt my water as needed to keep my hair moist.

Lovely results! :yep:
