This is no joke. I have the slowest-growing hair in the world. Let me say that again:
I HAVE THE SLOWEST GROWING HAIR IN THE WORLD!!
When I joined this forum last year, I was about 2 inches from APL. In January, guess where I was: 2" from APL!! Now granted I had a couple of setbacks where I had to trim away about 2 inches, but I say that because I know what my hair can do and what it cannot do. And it didn't matter that I was doing protective styles 99% of the time, keeping my ends trimmed, moisturizing, stretching relaxers. My hair is so very fine that it breaks easily. I have to be extremely delicate with it because it's so very fine, like a fine piece of thread.
NOT ANYMORE!! MT/OCT has given me strength! I can take a strand of my hair and it is noticebly denser, stronger and darker!!
I am now PAST APL and going on 15 weeks post relaxer!!!! The only thing that I've done differently is the MT/OCT. That's it. My diet has been great. I've been exercising and taking multivitamins, biotin, MSM. But I had been doing that *before* MT/OCT.
I started with the MT/OCT back in mid-April but wasn't consistent at all. I didn't notice a difference, either. I cut about 1/2 inch in mid-May and was back to 2" from APL.
After seeing LondonDiva's incredible progress, I re-purchased MT and OCT in June and began using daily, 7 days a week as she suggested. I was also inspired by other ladies who had witnessed amazing results, including Rhapsody, Nice & Wavy, and Shimmie. I mixed both products in an applicator bottle and added some grapeseed oil, honeyquat, a couple of drops of rosemary, Vitamin E, and SAA. I used daily. One thing I don't do is put on my hair. My hair hates protein and breaks easier. I would advise that if you, too have fine hair or hair that hates protein, don't put the product directly on the hair shaft.
Two months later and I'm past APL. The pic that you can [barely] see in my avy was my hair blown straight but not flatironed. So I'm sure that it wasn't completely straight.
I finally relax next week. I'll probably trim another 1/2 inch to get my ends even and healthy looking.
Keep trying the product and don't give up. I notice that it takes some time. And especially if you are stretching relaxers, you won't notice a difference. I would give it some time, especially if you're like me and have slow-growing hair in the first place.
If I can grow hair, ANYONE can grow hair.
I'm glad it worked so well for you. These are the testimonials that made me buy this stuff, LOL!
