hair that is strong but well moisturized and not hard. when i comb my hair i dont hear anything snapping and not a lot of breaking. my hair is healthy right now and i want to keep it that way.

Strong yet soft and moisturized. Not breaking and damaged, strands feel smooth and look shiny. good at absorbing moisture. smells clean/not bad.

cm, Im lol @ yo siggy

I agree I also think that thick hair is a sign of healthy hair also.

I think that's more genetic, than anything. There is nothing that you can do to increase the number of follicles on your head, and if you were 'blessed' with thin hair, then you are going to have thin hair - no matter what wonderful care you take of it.

In the same manner, there's not much you can do to make the strands coming out of your follicles much bigger. Yeah, you can use henna, and volumizing treatments (castor oil, etc) to make the strands look/feel thicker - but, once again, that's mostly predetermined, so I don't know if it's fair to make that a determination of health.

 All the same, thick hair almost ALWAYS looks amazingly healthy - it's just so MUCH of it, that you have to be REALLY rough on it for it to look 'bad'.....

Healthy hair for me is hair which does not go swirling to the draincatcher when shampooing, can stand combing without snapping...great elasticity when pulled is my gaining goal{moisture is helping.} Hoping when I release my corn rows in a week or so I have normal shedding with no knots.
