very beautiful!

girl you gotta stop trimming your hair in twists! wait till you straighten it:yep:

Thank you. You and your hair are beautiful. Hopefully I will be where you are one day.

I have sworn off trimming my hair again until December and only when it is straight. Thanks for the advice.

Congratulations. Love the visual!

Thanks, I did not understand the importance of actually seeing the length of my hair and being able to visualize my goal until I started here on LHCF.

When I saw the length of my hair, I could hardly believe it.

Whoa sooky sooky...I grovel...
Thats what I want my hair to look like when it grows up..:yep:

Thank you so much. Girl, you almost brought tears to my eyes.

You can do it, you have beautiful thick hair; remember to treat it with TLC and the length will come.

Good luck and happy hair growing!!

wow. wow. wow. this is inspirational. beautiful from root to tip.

wait, i just went back to view your pics again, and realized that you grew all that hair in 2 months. wow.

Congrats!! Your hair is sooo pretty, you are one of my inspirations!!

How did you get your ends to stay so thick?? They look amazing!

Thank you.

I keep my ends moisturized and I wear my hair up (bun, twists in a bun, or a single braid) about 99% of the time.

My ends are uneven due to trimming my hair while it was in twists:wallbash:. Now I realize that was a big mistake that will never happen again.

For those of us still experiencing set backs: SPILL-how did you do it?:drunk:

I have already told a few of you my story:

I have been natural since 2004. Prior to that, I relaxed my own hair about two times a year. My hair was mid-back length then. When my daughter lost all of her hair during her chemotherapy and radiation treatments, I cut all of my hair to about three inches. It did not bother me at all because I love my natural hair.

At one point, I was trimming my hair every couple of months because I wanted to keep my natural hair around shoulder length which was easy to manage; just wash and go without any problem.

I really do not do much for my hair other than TLC and keeping my regimen as simple as I can.

My Regimen: (Inspired by Candy C, MedMunky, & RedTweety); although they do not even know it

Preshampoo Oil Treatment: amla & shikakai oil the night before wash day

Shampoo: Shikakai bar every 4 weeks and as needed. Ayurvedic hair powders (amla, shikakai, brahmi) 2x per week per Candy C's instructions

Cowash: 2x per week, w/Tresemme Pro-Vitamin B & Aloe, Vitamin E

Deep Condition: After every wash with Queen Helene Cholesterol + EVOO or Aussie 3 Minute Miracle

Daily Moisturize: Giovanni Direct Leave-In Moisturizer, Qhemet Biologics amla & olive heavy cream, Hair2Heaven endall to seal

Nightly Scalp Massages: Gro-Aut oil and Mahabhringaraj oil

Sleep with satin cap. The only time I use direct heat is when I flat iron my hair.

That's about it, I forgot to add that I take a multi-vitamin (Wal-Mart Brand) daily.

I think the the growth spurt is from the warm humid weather here in the South. Also, my hair is moist all the time and I wear it up almost 99% of the time.
