I went to the BBS today to buy some tracks for my phony pony experiment. (I want to wear it for the night life). The lady told me I had nice thick hair and she seemed so amazed that nachal hair could look, gasp, DECENT!:lachen: She was nice though and show me some nice inexpensive hair. I have NO CLUE what to do with it though. :user: It's off to the search!

Also, I've been very happy with my hair lately even though I am recovering from some heat damage a horrid stylist gave me back in February!! Next year it should all be gone so no worries since I know how to do my own hair now.

Also, I'm happy about my new job! This is so sad but being so busy means more protective styling and I won't have so much idle time to play in my hair. YES!!!

Wow...that was a lot, thought this was LJ for a sec:grin:

:yay:Yay, heres a chance for me to waffle on a bit.
I just wish it was July already so I could do my first progress check and pic after three months.
I have some fierce shrinkage with my natural hair after transitioning for 18 weeks and I need to stop pulling at my hair and stretching it.

It's just gone midnight and I really should be doing my 'night before wash-day scalp massage with shikakai oil', but I've just got in from work and I'm feeling LAZY.

I know my hair is growing because I get the comments everytime I let it out. The last couple days I wore it in a puff and I got a lot of compliments.

Now I'm braided and I'm loving it. I plan on keeping these in for at least 2 months.

This APL challenge is making me coocoo for cocoa puffs. I keep thinking that I won't make it by Dec. 08 ....boy oh boy....that is my goal.....I don't really want hair longer than that.

oh My b/f loves the braids because it reminds him of how I looked the day we met.

I tried some Alterna Hemp conditioner that I got for free (it was $25 on the site) so I was thinking the results would be PHENOMENAL for that price. Nope. It was o-kay

I want to know what the hell is wrong with my hair. Ever since I used that :censored: Optimum Oil conditioner damn near THREE months ago, my hair hasn't been the same

I'm tired of Hilary Clinton, she annoys me. Of course if she wins the primaries, I'll vote for her though. We can't afford to have anymore devils--I mean Republicans in office

I wish my dh would wash his hair. He swears that washing his hair makes it fall out-- Even though he sees how my hair's been thriving :ohwell:

I'm sitting under the dryer with a mixture of Kenra MC and Porosity Control, I hope I get good results! :crossfingers:

I love co-washes and I love mixing the conditioners together sometimes. i mixed coconut conditioner with strawberries N cream and with a lil HE cond...that stuff smelled soooo :lick::lick::lick:.

It's getting hot outside. I had to run around to a few stores today and I was burning up by the time I was through shopping. I think Im going to get a couple of plastic bags and grab the hammer and crunch up some ice so I can have some nice drinks tonight :drunk:.

Right now, I'm working on being consistent. I've only been on my "hair journey" for 2 months and I have to say that I've had pretty good beginners luck when it comes to selecting the right products. That doesn't mean that I don't have to exercise a PHENOMINAL amount of self-control when I walk into Sephora, Ulta, or scan some of these comments and see people with fantastic hair and fight off the urge to buy something else. :drunk: I feel like I'm constantly saying "ooh, look at this, ooh, look at this, OOH, LOOK AT THIS!!!".

I'm also fighting off the urge to do something drastic. In the beginning, I told myself that I would grow out my broken areas and THEN get a trim. Now, I find myself saying "FORGET IT, I want to kick the relaxers to the curb and do a BC by the end of the year!!".

Clearly, I need to get a grip. ;)

have you tried the indigo henna?

i hate suave humectant conditioner!!!!!!!!!!
i have the shampoo and i really like it. my hair dosent feel all striped after i use it. thinking that the shampoo was ok i got the conditioner...........it sucks!!!!!!!!!

thats my 2 cents

have you tried the indigo henna?

I live in the Caribbean and its going to be pretty hard for me to get indigo , i have tried to find it locally but no success. And as for ordering .. most places do not ship internationally and if they do its more than the cost of the actual item .. AND THEN when it hits customs here I have to pay more yet again

I am happy with the progress my hair is making. I'm sooo close to APL. I'm seriously ready to claim it but my camera is broken and I don't want to claim anything without a photo

I also can say that I'm pretty sure I have found a regimen that works for me. I should be happy but I just noticed the left side is thinner than the left. My hair on the left side is thick and growing nicely. However, the right side for some reason, is thin and grows like it's layered, rather than all together. I don't know what to do... I treat the same sides the same and somehow, I keep falling short.

I have used Bigen with alot of success in the past (but its not natural i believe it is safe .. then again the PPD? thing scares away ppl) ... But i do plan to henna because I like the advantages so I do not want to waste that process(Bigen) for it just to turn red again, im thinking maybe a jet black rinse each touchup until i find indigo..I dont know .. i have been thinking about this for like 3 months ... The only natural thing is indigo .. :perplexed

I want to make my hair black also, I think I am going to order some indigo, plus I really like how thick henna makes my hair feel

My hair is growing....I hope to claim SL by the end of the month

Once I get there, I guess I'll just keep on trucking to my next length goal.

My hair hasn't been SL in over 15 years....this should be interesting. When I co-wash it now, it's touching my shoulders. I'm 6 weeks post, so I know it will be on my shoulders when I relax in 3 weeks.

I hope I can make it 3 more weeks. This is the first stretch where I'm not wearing a quickweave for the last 4 weeks of the stretch. I'm trying to deal with my own hair.

I hope that this rollerset (under dryer now) isn't a big poofy mess...I have dinner plans tonight...LOL

If it is a half-wig I will go!!!!!

im happy with my hair growth so far but i am very impatient. i want to be natural so bad but i cannot BC yet because it will be too short and i hate short hair
so i have to wait.. i have a long ways to go:sad:
but by this time next year i will be 100% natural!

off topic: hi plastic!

heyyy slimzz

I can't wait to claim BSL, it seem like I didn't retain any length since my last relaxer.. Will be wearing hair down all summer, looking forward to getting a growth spurt over summer that will put me at BSL

I cant tell if my hair is growing :ohwell:

I've taken it out of extensions about 3 weeks ago, and been co-washing every other day. I dont wanna flat iron it. But how do I know if its growing???? :perplexed

I now know for a fact that my hairstylist was cutting off my progress. I wasn't gaining any length and wondered what was wrong. At my TU on Friday I wouldn't allow her to trim (my ends are still almost blunt from the last "trim") and now my hair is longer that it has been in years. And this was after one 15 week stretch. I will make APL this year!

I have to get back to my Flax, Fish and Borage Oil capsules. I was able to do this last stretch, longest ever, because of it.

I have found my staples and reggie and it should be smooth sailing from here on out.

This Buy Nothing for May Challenge should be easy since I have found my staples and since I have been a PJ in the past I don't need for anything.

I need to do my nails for Funky French Week on the Nail Fanatics thread.

You're hair is gorgious!

Well, i don't know what to do with my hair right now. The back has finally reached BSL but the front literally won't budge. I've been trying to baby the ends but I'm still stuck b/w sl and apl. :wallbash: I'm thinking of weaving it up for the summer although i'm getting mass opposition to that, but it's my head so I still might. I need more fullness too.... oh what do i do?
