I'm actually a week shy of 7 months into my transition.
I just got my camera back and couldn't wait to share my progress.
I have anywhere from 3-5" of new fresh fro depending on where on the head I measure, I seem to have a trillion different textures going on
Anyway, I'm currently tangle free and the sail is smooth so far.
I updated my fotki too, so swing by and have a look.

My reggie goes a little something like this:
Co-wash, moisturize, bun. I do this every day.
That's it, I don't use any growth aids.
I just leave my hair alone, and it seems to work.

What do you do to minimize breakage at your line of demarcation??

I think it's due to not brushing when my hair is dry. Idk if that's the answer but I haven't had any issues with breakage.

soo.... no tangles, you say??? how do you manage to not have tangles? because i need help!!!
my newgrowth is actually REALLY cooperating these days, a tiny bit dry, but it behaves better than my relaxed hair.
my relaxed strands are about 16-18 inches long in most areas. it's so frustrating dealing with it.

are there special products that you are using to help detangle??

I have no idea what my type is, it's a mix of plenty. I know well what my natural hair looks like (i was natural up until a year ago) but I never really tried to figure out what it is.
