Oh god... I remember my hair being like that...
I BC'd a year and a half into my transition...
my hair has already grown back to where it was when I BC'd
so I only really lost 6 months as far as growth was concerned...
it's not that my hair grows fast...
I think I am able to retain more length once I chopped off the relaxer.
I think one year is good... you don't have long to reach your goals...
you might get there faster if you chop though...

I would get really upset when people would try to convince me to cut...

Oh, I don't get upset at all. I'm actually thinking about chopping.
My permed ends are so weak that they are breaking off and my hair isn't really getting any longer.
If I chop though, I have no idea what to do with it...
I think I've gotten too comfortable with the bun.

I noticed that my hair wasn't getting any longer...
but now it's crazy...
I think you will see more length if you just chop now...
I see people with MBL with like 1" of relaxed hair left...
what's the point in that...
you won't miss it...
took me a couple of weeks to get used to,
but I couldn't be happier now
