I think I am going to end it either this evening or bright and early tomorrow morning. I will try to post pics. It's been about 4.5 months I believe. I was trying to make it to 6, but I'm calling the quits a little early. It was a good learning experience but I am not ready to be a natural head quite yet.

I understand, you have to do what's best for you.:grin: Thank you for your encouraging response when I was ready to give up a few weeks ago.

You hung in there pretty good! Gotta do what's best for you, tho and your hair will be gorgeous either way.

Thanks, ladies. I'm not giving up completely. I may revisit this at another point in life, however, I'm going through some other changes in my life right now and I just can't have this to deal with on top of everything esle. It would be much easier if I could just chop it off and start anew, but I'm honestly not ready for that either.
On a positive note I think that I will have a lot of new growth to enjoy when the relaxer finally pulls it down from hiding. :yep:

I just ended mine after 11 months and after chopping my hair off!:ohwell: But, it was great while it lasted and I think that I may revisit it at another time.

Yeah I'm still in shock about you getting your looooonnnng beautiful hair. So you relaxed again. Your bob is cute. I'm going to check out your fotki.

So who's going to cut your hair? You know if you go to a barber and/or hairstylist they are going to get a little happy with the clippers and scissors. Im not trying to scare you but be prepared to have a little more taken off than expected. But please don't wait any longer on growing it out unless you plan to cut it yourself or can trust someone thoroughly to follow your instructions. If you do it now you wont have to worry about growing your hair out in vain just for some person to cut it right back off. I don't know how natural salons do it but regular ones aren't to keen on keeping your length. They will tell you things like I just need to shape it up a bit or I need to make it more even but when you leave you find one side shorter than the other.

But all in all its not going to be that bad. Its probably going to be really great.
Good luck with the bc!!!

Yes, do what you feel. That is staying true to yourself!:grin:

candiel- I chased you down from the other thread, I really LOVE your cut. I was going to give up growing my hair out, but that cut is the epitome of how I want my hair. Your looks great, and it always grows back!

:look::spinning::nono: No no no. You got the game wrong! :lachen: I am about to RELAX my hair.

So true! Caramela, you and your hair are very beautiful!:yep:

Thank you. I'm feeling rather unpretty these days though due to the transition and the shrinkage and lack of styling options. My hair is in a bun with a headband and I feel like whodoneddoneit? But in the shower I feel like me again for those 15 minutes when the shower stretches my hair back out! It's messing with my mind!!!

I came in here like "No she din't cut her hair!!!!"

and I was right, she din't!!! :lachen::lachen::lachen:

Don't feel bad, transitioning definitely ain't as easy breezy as many make it seem ya got pretty hair anyway!
