light-mild protein conditioner? why? which ones have u tried and did not like and why? Has anyone tried Kenra's reconstructor?

I'll start:
I use aphogee 2 min. Haven't tried anything else. I still get breakage tho. Not a lot, which I guess is normal. I'm looking for a better brand, but I dont want anything too strong.

Off the top of my head:
Aphogee 2 Min Reconstructor as my regular light protein.
Organic Root Stimulator Hair Mayo (add an egg if you need extra strength)
Motion CPR

Try pre-pooing with your light protein, and follow it with shampoo and DC. Sometimes that helps take care of the light breakage.

If you are still experiencing breakage, try Nexxus Emergencee, which is stronger...but maybe you might need something like that....maybe once every 2 months or so.

I have no idea. I just noticed little hairs when I was braiding. I only comb once a week and have not used heat since November. Maybe my hair is taking a while to recover because this is my first time in my life separated from my dear CHI. :lachen:. My hairdresser told me I do not need heavy protein and im sure I dont cuz heavy protein moisturizers instantly break my hair. My hair is always in a messy bun, I DC every week. I just used the apoghee 2 min last week under the dryer for 15 mins. My hair has been breaking less but it still is breaking:wallbash:

This is just my opinion BUT- I dont think any breaking is normal.:look: When I breakage, I start on a quest to have it stopped in my tracks.....Emergencee, Joico KPAK, Affirm 5n1, etc.

Aubrey's GPB
IC 1 minute Reconstructor
ORS Mayo

All of these work fine for me. I use the Aubreys on dry hair. The other two I wet/rinse hair, then apply.

Yea but I have been doing everything right by the books:ohwell: I dont know where it came from

I hear you. Its your choice, but if it were me- I'd try something other than the Aphogee 2 min. Its not working if it doesnt stop the breakage completely.:ohwell:

Best of luck on whatever you decided.

I use ORS Hair Mayo and now I've rediscovered Biolage reconstructor. I might try the Aphogee 2 in 1 too. ORS makes my hair soft, but it's kind of heavy and my hair feels coated and weighed down after using it. If I don't like the Aphogee, I'll either switch to Biolage or only use the ORS as a pre-poo.
