Well shes light skinned so I guess it must be her hair....

She has Caucasian in her so scientifically speaking her hair is much straighter and longer and prettier and magic! Right?! Right???!!! I mean its just SCIENCE! *tsk! I cant believe y'all didn't know that!

And I thought we were past all this here... I guess this post proves that wrong. LOL. That girl is wearing a weave. If you cant see that then you are either blind or in denial. Its a weave a weave a weave.

And honestly so what if she wears weaves? Why are people so quick to defend her "honor" against wearing a weave!? Whats wrong with her wearing a weave??? Like OMG light skinned girls CANT/SHOULDN'T wear weaves!!!! *Gasp* They are far too pretty/perfect/magical to do something that low class and dark!! *scoff* Well I NEVER! She CANT be wearing a weave.... It just wouldn't be PROPER!!!

Get real.

This is really disturbing. I feel bad for people who think like this. It makes me wonder what other lies they're begging to believe...

ITA::lachen::lachen:

I don't know if her hair is real in those pics or not. I don't know much about weaves never had one. But for people on this board of all places to say it couldn't possibly be her hair is kinda funny. Maybe she's been slathering her scalp with MTG, MN, amla oil, taking MSM, biotin etc. since the last time she wore her real hair out. :lachen: The "it's only because she's light skinned" comments are irrelevant since we know better (right?).

I sort of disagree with it not mattering if her hair is a weave in THIS particular context on this particular thread. I think the OP posted her hair assuming it was real (don't know if it is or not) and wanted to know her regimine because she thought her "real" hair was pretty. I don't think we'd ask for the hair regimine of a weave. :look:

Since her curiousity was based on that assumption and since this is a hair forum and our goal is to have our own long hair (whether relaxed or natural or texlaxed) then it makes sense that we might inquire and analyze the authenticity of one's own hair.

It doesn't take away from her own beauty of course, but I can understand why people are saying, "it's real"..."it's not real".

You are missing my point. I understand why people are making the distinction as to weather or not it IS a weave or not, however what I dont understand is people people acting like "HOW DARE YOU say its a weave???? *gasp* Exclamation point !!! eleventy one!!!111" Like its a crime for a semi white girl to wear a weave  goodness gracious people.

Because so what if it is? It is.... lets move on. No big deal. Thats all I was saying.

I dont think they are saying "it couldn't possibly be her hair" because they are ignorant.... I think they are saying that because it is quite obviously two diffrent colors and textures coming off of her head.

Oh yeah and the fact that there is a CLEAR line of demarcation between the legnths. (and no I dont mean like layers.)

Its is quite obviously a weave. Thats WHY they are saying that, not because they are haters and just dont think it could be true. However.... what I think is hilarious are the folks who are ignoring the diffrence between the textures on her head and acting like its hers just because shes "got Caucasian in her family so its naturally straighter..." lol.

this is intense...:look:

thanks for the compliments ladies...

u guys are rite... it is possible to not think she is beautiful but the tone seemed a little off... it's not that serious tho

I have BEAUTIFUL nappy hair & so does lenny

Just wanted to say I love your hair.

That's what I don't get. Regardless if it's a weave, but to hear comments like I remember childhood photos and her hair was always short, or Lisa never had hair longer than SL....HELLO!!! Remember half the posters on this board that could never grow their hair past a certain length and now within a month or less theyv'e changed their regimen and now their hair is growing longer than ever before.

And yes before anyone adds, comments like "it has to be her hair because her parents are biracial are equally ridiculous.

How am I missing your point? I never even read your post. :look:

Ummm some people WERE saying it doesn't matter if it's a weave or not and THAT is what I was addressing.

I'm not even going to get into the bi/tri/quad racial people issue. :perplexed

Ah, I thought you were referring to my post because I had said something similar to what you referenced. I had actully BEEN one of the people who said it didn't matter if it was a weave or not. Thats why I thought you were addressing me.

My bad. Sorry.

Anyway yeah probably best not to get into the racial thing....:ohwell:

Ok so the point of this thread was supposed to be about a 18 or 19 year old girl who is pretty and has nice hair (weave or not).

Why does everything on this board have to TURN into being so called "Real" or "Honest"? EVERYTHING is about who is right or wrong! EVERYTHING is about battle of wits! EVERYTHING is about being realistic even if that means being negative! EVERYTHING is about proving that someone's theory is not valid!

I THOUGHT WE WERE SISTERS AND SUPPORTERS OF EACH OTHER, beyond our hair issues.

Remember what Momma said..."If you dont have anything nice to say, do say it at all..."

I came to this board because there are beautiful black women that I thought appreciated other black women regardless of who they are or are not. I have very little female friends but I come here and I feel like I have a ton. This just breaks my heart because they same things we do to each other (even if it is just "IN YOUR OPINION) is the same things other races do to us everyday.

I don't think she's beautiful. There was a professional pic of her where she looked nice with the makeup on, but on the whole, eh. But I guess I'm just lying to myself.:perplexed

I agree with you Lauren, she's not that gorgeous. She's average cute. It's just an opinion. Not that serious. (I think her Mom, however, was gorgeous in her prime--don'rt know what she looks like now).

I have just one question and I'm not setting you up or being sarcastic so this is a totally honest question. :)

When you posted this OP, did you think her hair was real?

That's the only reason I can think of that you would have asked about her hair regimine because nobody asks about the hair regimens of the wigs/weaves having up at the local beauty supply store.

How this turned into the woman is ugly or not ugly or she's got biracial hair or whatever, I'm not sure.

But I do think it's okay that people contemplated whether her hair was real or not based on your initial statements.

I think people (some) were just trying to say...don't admire her hair regimine so much or be in awwe of it because it's not all hers.

It's kind of like the wig I purchased recently. I love it and it's handy since I'm a gym rat lately but I know when I take it off that I'm wishing my hair was as thick and great as my wig. So I'd understand if someone pointed out that my wig is not my real hair so they wouldn't have unrealistic goals...almost how we look at something airbrushed in a magazine without realizing nobody can look that perfect.

Hope that makes sense.

Thank you...and I appreciate you.

i'm sorry i have to jump in & say their is still a lot of ignorance out there even tho we've been so educated on this site...

It's true not all biracial individuals don't have loose wavy hair & whatnot i am clearly proof of that but lenny's hair is beautiful so why would you say look @ her father's hair?

Also let's be honest w/ ourselves anyone can see this girl is very beautiful if you think otherwise you're probably just hating

It doesn't really matter if it's a weave or not because it looks good & it looks good on her & what's wrong with seeing her as an inspiration? she's in the spotlite so she's not the first one to sport a weave

Honestly it really p*sses me off when people throw these biracial hair misconceptions around... biracial people come in so many shapes, sizes, colors, hair types/lengths, just like black people... i don't have loose wavy hair or blue/green eyes... I have BEAUTIFUL nappy hair & so does lenny

If that is your hair in your siggy, your hair is beautiful!!!!
Beautiful...yes. Nappy...No.

Hey, I love Lenny's hair. But my point was that if you only looked or judge him by his hair, then you might not think that he was biracial. We saying the same thing, I just said it another way.

I mean some people in the thread were judging Zoe's and Lisa's hair based on the fact that they were biracial, and you just made my own point, EVERYBODY that is biracial do not have the same type of hair, i.e. her father.

You know this is the second time you've thrown a tantrum because people on here have voiced different opinions other than your own. You know... this is a message board with over 20,000 women on it. And only ONE of those women is you. That leaves over 19,999 other opinions here. And ALL of us paid $5 to share those opinions. We are well within our rights to share them, just as long as nobody says anything hurtful or mean. And honestly so far nobody has done that.

If you don't like hearing other points of view, or don't like discussion.... then its probably best that you refrain from joining MESSAGE/DISCUSSION boards because thats what we do here. Stop taking differing opinions/ other point of view as a personal attack. Its not an affront to your womanhood or something. Its just text on a page.

Every one doesnt have to be in agreement to be "sisters". LOL. Have you ever HAD a sister? If you did then you know its perfectly natrual for people who are very close to each other and love each other to have diffrent opinions. Not everyone HAS to be like you, or agree with you to like you, or for you to feel close to them. That kind of thinking is immature and juvenile and really shows that you really don't have a good grasp of the way REAL LIFE relationships work.

You voiced your opinion that you liked her hair... Thats fine. But you have to realize that with 20,000 other people looking at the same image,
SOMEONE is BOUND to be able to point out something different about the photo. Thats the beauty of having so many different people here. If we all thought like you... what could you ever hope to learn from us? Nothing right? Because we would all know only what you do.... And hey, if everybody here was me, who the heck would *I* learn from?

So instead of getting all up in arms the next time somebody says something that you deem "out of context" or that you didn't necessarily say. maybe you should step back and LISTEN and try and point out some other things... add to the conversation. And learn. Ok? (((*HUGS*)))

I hope this helps.

EDIT:: Remember that momma also said, "don't sweat the small stuff" and "don't cry over spilled milk".

I thought it was. Now, I dont upon closer observation.

No one said anything about her hair regiman. I did. And it was a joke because if it was her hair I am positive it is no different then whats discussed on this broad.

People started in on whether she is gorgeous or not. She is a little girl. Like geez....

My original post was:

This is Lenny Kravitz and Lisa Bonet's Daughter. They make pretty children and she has hair like her mom.

Whats up with getting her regimen? I am for real!!!:yep: (A joke)

I love who Lenny loves his daughter. That is SOOOOOO SWEET! I love men who are in love with their little girls. It lets you know they wont be out there searching for love because they have DADDY!

How did the thread turn into debating your personal standard of beauty, debating that light skinned folk always perceived to have better hair, and debating whether this little girl is beautiful or average?

I just dont understand why everyone has to be so "right".

I was thinking the same thing, if it was on a darker skinned girl some of us would be more inclined to believe it's a weave, which is unfortunate. Just because you have a little white in you doesn't mean you'll have "good" hair. Hell, I've seen some white folks with nappier hair than mine!

Like Lenny's guitarist Craig Ross! Now his hair looks like he ain't combed it in years :lachen:

And stopped trying! :wallbash:

Okk...Ummm...Tantrum...NO

I Dont Even Have An Opinion About It!

I am pointing out the negativity not the opinion .

I am a person about positivity and positivity ALL THE TIME!

My other thread was looking for edits to a letter not whether I should do it or not.

I'm only saying it's a weave because again, I am a big fan of LK and have pics of him and her and just her. Now taking my knowledge that I learned on THIS board, hair really grows 1/2 a month right?

Okay, now last time I saw pics of Zoe before those pics were taken, which was late Fall 06, the chick has SL hair in March 06.

So now you mean to tell me that this chick grew more than 10 inches of hair in about 6 months??? Okay well then if that's the case, then I need to buy what she's using and she needs to be on this board giving MAJOR tips :lachen:

Uh...... yeah that's exactly what I meant . By the way if you have the photos why not post them that would pretty much solve the debate now wouldn't it?

I was just reading in the December issue of Essence about Nia Long and she openly admitted that she has a weave and why she has it. And Gabby admitted it too (not in the same way as Nia). And it's just to BSL but it's still a weave.

Also Mariah Carey has stated her love for extensions, Trya Banks, Gisele Bundchen wears pieces and extensions. And Gweneyth Paltrow was trying to convince the press that her hair was ALL HERS simply because it was down to her waist! Now she's white but in Hollywood, plenty of actresses, mostly white have major extensions in their hair. At the most, these women are SL or right below, but when you see then with major BSL or MBL, alot of times that is fake, but we don't question it because they are white. And guess what, it is :lachen:

Girl I'm at work. :lachen:

You wanna see pics of her and her hair, then go to Bossip.com and buy Mark Seliger's book, "Lenny", and go to Concrete Loop, and go to Jossip.com, and go to all of Lenny's fan sites and etc, look on his DVDs...

And go to his main websites where they have pics of her and her daddy. I don't have to prove anything to nobody. The girl got a weave. So what!

The problem is some of us didn't know who she was and are really just seeing her for the first time in the past year or so. But since we are all in a debate, we gonna play Devil's Advocate and give her the benefit of a doubt. Please! Unless you have been seeing pics of her all the time for the past few years, you know the girl got a weave.

no sweetie, you got' that good hurr'... is yo grama chinese?
J/k:lachen:
your hair is gorgeous but not what most people would call nappy,I LOVE your tattoo tough,I want to get a dove right on the same spot:yep:

Gurl, she got "Indian" in her family :lachen:

No, both of you ladies, your hair looks great. I'm just being "cheeky" as my mood suggest!
