Biolage Fortifying Treatment. It's good stuff. I have a couple stick straights parts have always been more prone to breakage. This stuff takes care of that. :yep:

I have been wondering about this product. The Giant grocery stores have this on clearance for 50% off.

HITS:

Redken All Soft Velvet Whip:
This stuff is awesome! It acts as a leave-in and a thermal/heat protectant. After I used my flat iron, my hair was soo soft, shiny and swingy. I was soo impressed. Honestly, I like it better than heat glide. I will be stocking up on this.

Redken Extreme Rescue Force Treatment:Good stuff! It left my hair feeling soft and strong.

:yep: Isn't that Velvet Whip great!! :cloud9:
I love the Rescue Force Treatment, too!

Anyhow, another...

HIT

ORS Replenishing Pak: This stuff is sooo good. I was having some minor breakage and the ORS Replenishing Pak halted the breakage dead in it's tracks. I've only used it about 4-5 times sporadically within the last 10 months but I used it twice in the last two weeks with great results. This is definitely going to be staple and the ingredients are great! I have to get a big bottle now.

Are you all using the Velvet Whip on wet or dry hair? TIA

Big Hit:

Mizani Butter Blend relaxer - I was 6 months post into my transition when I decided to relax again. I had about 3 inches of new growth and on top of that my hair was in a braidout, making it harder to tell the two different textures apart. But my gosh, that butter blend does make the hair feel like butter. It feels smooth, silky and shiny. No burns (that's a first for me), no dryness, no rushing to the shampoo bowl...I don't post often but I had to come out of lurkdom to post this...I'm :infatuated:.

I'm kinda lovin WHITE RAIN naturals ...TROPICAL COCONUT
It giving my hair some great slip when i detangle my hair.:yep:

  • Mizani Relaxer Fine/Color Treated Hair. I did my touchup w/ this on Friday and I was pretty pleased. Next time I will be adding a bit more oil to it becuz my hair is a little TOO straight. But I think it will get better each time I use it and learn how to adjust it for my hair. :yep:
  • Marine Collagen. Added this to my moisturizer, my mid relaxer protein and my protein DC. My hair is very very strong and healthy right now. :D
  • Elasta QP Recovery Oil Moisturizer. Love this stuff. Its light, smells AWESOME, great moisturizer. My hair feels so good after I use it. I added a shot of Marine Collagen to it but its fabulous on its own. You only need a little bit so the bottle will last forever. I seal w/ either a little bit of castor oil or Keracare Essential Oils.
  • ACV Rinses. These have truly changed the condition of my hair. They are a staple for me most def.
ON THE FENCE
  • Aphogee Gloss Drops. I like this stuff. I bought a sample tube to compare it to Paul Mitchell Gloss Drops. The jury is still out but I think I may have found a cheaper alternative.
  • Qhemet Alma and Heavy Cream. I think Im gonna like this the further post I get. Its a little too heavy right now, or either Im being too heavy handed w/ it.
  • IC Heat Protector/Straightening Spray. Thats not the exact name for it but its in the pink spray bottle. :p Its did a good job on protecting my hair before flat ironing. The shine was BLINGING at first but it didnt last too long.

:cry2:

Miss: Creme of Nature Shampoo.

At first I was in denial...but after sooo many years, CON has officially turned on me. First the green label stopped working for me, now the red label. They don't give me that slip and moisturized feeling they once gave me. I'm so sad

ISO a new shampoo staple...

I can't use it anymore either. I used to ONLY use CON. I used to even use it AFTER conditioning. But it just stopped working!

It does give me slip when I rinse it, but my hair dries weird and my hair feels off after I apply my styling products. I really think that CON does not work well with some product ingredients.

Redken Smooth Down Butter Treat: I LOVE this stuff. I like it much better than the All Soft Heavy Cream(I still like this though). I noticed a difference as soon as I applied it to my hair. It's nice and creamy and and made my hair very soft. I used a blow dryer today for the first time since December and followed up with the velvet whip and Silicon Mix leave-in and my hair was soo soft and smooth with no frizz. My hair usually feels so dry after using a blow dryer(it's not ionic/ceramic btw; still got to get a good ionic/ceramic dryer) even when I use a leave-in and heat protectant. I believe the butter treat and the velvet whip made the difference. I definitely plan to repurchase.

Miss-
NEEM OIL!!!

I could take the smell, but it left my neck, back, shoulders, and ears slightly irritated. Had to use MTG to counter-attack it, since a cream wasn't working. Neem Oil has been banned in my home.

Dudley Hair Rebuilder
Virgin Hair Fertilizer-my scalp feels better

Labett, how does this stuff taste? I saw it one day and almost got it, but I didn't want to try it and take the chance of wasting it. A guy friend of mine tried it and said he liked it. I don't trust his taste buds too much though b/c he'll try anything:perplexed

the Vidal Sasoon ionic steam roller system... YES!!! im very pleased with this! It does not make my hair poof at all and gives shiny smooth curls. Great for emergency sets when my hair has no body.

Here's a hit:

Ion Conditioning Ionic-Ceramic Tourmaline Dryer

I've been wanting to try one of these tourmaline dryers out and I finally buckled down and bought one from Sally's. It is awesome! There were several models to choose from. After debating on the Anti-Frizz, I went for the Conditioning model. Who doesn't want super moist hair, right?

It is supposed to dry hair up to 50% faster but I was really interested in the moisture-retaining properties that it claimed. I blow dried on the cool setting. Once it dried, it felt cool to the touch and extremely moist. Almost like it was still damp, but it wasn't! And even better... I experienced virtually no breakage. After I flat ironed, my hair was silky and blinging. It's been hours later and my hair still feels silky and moist to the touch. Two thumbs way up!

Hits:
- Salerm 21
Purchased again. The most amazing leave in. Love it!!

- Frederic Fekkai Protein Rx Reparative Treatment Mask with silk and milk protein
Doesn't leave my hair detangled particularly, but nothing does except for Elucence MB :nono: However it's a nice, light protein and it smells like heaven. If anyone can pinpoint the scent I will be your friend forever!!!!

- Alter Ego Italy Garlic Hot Oil Treatment
Fairly moisturizing and seemed to slow down shedding

Quasi-hits

- Sunsilk Hydra TLC Masque
I'm assuming this is a strengthening treatment ?
I did notice less breakage after roller setting, though my hair wasn't the least bit detangled.

Misses
- Lafier Desrixol Rinse Conditioner (The pink stuff)
Did nothing for my hair. Maybe I need to mix with a conditioner.

The Tropical Punch Special K H20 Protein water is my favorite I think it taste better than the Lemon,Strawberry.
This water taste best when it is very cold and chilled, if not I can kinda of taste the soy protein milk and calcium(a little bitter).
IT is thicker than Crystal Lite flavored water more like a real soda not watery.
I think you should try the tropical bunch first to see if you like before trying the other brands.

I did a test run of my spiral rod rollers. (the blue and white ones) The couple that I put in were difficult because of a clip on top but I think I think with time I can get better at it. Anyway, i put a couple in and I like the result. I have to get more and do my entire head.

Lottaboddy texturizing setting lotion: great flexible hold
