Hits:
Mizani H20 Nightime Treatment: It did everything Supergirl said it would do and from the very 1st use. When used in conjunction with my normal nightime moisturizing it put a stop to breakage and brittleness on my ends. It's yummy, its so creamy plus it truly does smell like Thierry Mugler Angel perfume too. :yep:

Jamilla Henna: Not unlike my usual brand, Dulhan, a great choice.
Hesh Amla powder: Great stuff, didn't dry out my hair like another generic brand I had previously used.

Revisited Hit:
Motions Silk Protein: Thick & creamy too, nice protein treat.

Pantene Breakage Defense Mask: This stuff is heaven in my hair, and smells amazing.

I have an unopened box at home. How are you using this? I remember DLewis once said she makes a "tea" out of it to rinse thru her hair.

Hit: Okay, I rated Aubrey Organics Honeysuckle Rose Conditioner as neutral last post. Well, as a leave-in? I love it! I was reading the ingredients, and was figuring it couldn't hurt to try. So last night I put some on, sealed with my oil mix, wrapped, and tied up with my du-rag. My hair's soft, sleek, feels moisturized, and for some reason the scent is bothering me as bad. No who knows if I'll keep repurchasing it ($8.39, doesn't come any larger than 8oz, and I have to pay shipping), but I'mm gonna enjoy what I have. My hair has been tripping in the last couple weeks, but I think it'll live, now!

On the fence: Stretching. I am officially 9 weeks and 1 day post-- one week and a day longer than I've ever stretched. *Sigh* I just dunno... I have more bad hair days, my roots-- just too much to ramble about. I'm now debating if I will try self-relaxing, again, or suck it up (and spend the money) to go to the salon. I mean, for what I'll pay at the salon I can get the relaxer, scalp base, hair protector, trim myself, be comfortable in my house... Fall is proving stressful in TOO many ways for me right about now (and, no, not all hair-related)!

HIT
-Red Palm Butter mixed in a rinse-out conditioner. Can we say no tangles:woot:
-Sodium Lactate mixed in a rinse-out conditioner. Tons of moisture, much better than glycerine.

MISS
-plain red palm butter on dry hair :nono: too thick and greasy

ON THE FENCE
-rhassoul clay...well it did clean my hair and made it smoother but application was a pain in the booty. Way messier than henna. Not sure if it is worth the trouble.

I have plenty of sodium lactate...I'll have to try it that way. :scratchch

Karen's Body Beautiful Hair Butter!!!! Together with Black Hair Products Bodifying Mist this keeps my hair soft all day long!!!!!

Redken Smooth Down Detangling Cream - I use this and African Pride Braid Spray to braid my hair at night, and it works really well for me!!!!

Redken Vivagen Shampoo. This really cleaned my hair without stripping it!

Hit (in a way):

I tried the sample of the Loreal Vive Nutri Gloss shampoo and it made my hair feel really good. I used it after I did a lather with Kenra Clarifying. It made my hair feel soft and nice. But, I did not like the way it smelled. It's funny because I do like the way the conditioner smells.

I don't think I will repurchase but it did make my hair feel nice and smooth. I think I will stick with my Porosity Control shampoo, though.

Revisited hit:

Dumb Blonde Reconstructor and Ion Repair Solutions Hair Reconstructor. This combo gave me a nice protein treatment. I applied the thicker Dumb Blonde
reconstructor and then topped it off with the Ion Repair Solutions Hair Reconstructor and sat under the dryer for 15 min. Very effective and my hair was not too dry at all (I did do another deep condition after that with Lustrasilk Cholesterol Olive and Shea conditioners) I am never using that rough Aphogee hardening treatment again! There are too many nice mild effective protein conditioners out here.

I just ordered this. I look foward to trying it.

:nono: I have the same problem with that HydraSilk leave in. It really overmoisturizes me. I love the Straighten-Up (purple) and the Anti-Caida (dark pink) Those are excellent. I think I need to try the Anti Frizz. Don't give up on the 24/7's, though. They are not all like the pink one.
These are the two I use als.

Hit.........
Pantene Time Renewal Mask. I picked this one thinking it was my beloved "Moisture Replishing Mask" and almost cried when I got home. I put this one to side and was acting like a snob about it.:ohwell: I pulled it out today and decided to give it a spin or give it away. I was shocked that I liked this stuff!!! I will no longer turn my nose up at it. (but Mositure Replishing Mask is still my baby's daddy!)

Hits:

I love this stuff. I recently got a few tubes of it at 50% from a clearance sell. (MD/DC ladies check your local Giant Food Stores)

HIT-- Nature's Gate Henna Shine Enhancing Conditioner  I can't remember the last time my hair felt so nourished. I rollerset my hair without any serum and still had wonderful shine. I've been itching to try real henna for the shine and strength benefits but I just might stick with this!! :yep:

I really like the Ultra Hydating Balm too. I forgot I had some in my stash :look: That's a great deal, the larger tubes are $15 dollars

Hits:
Dark and Lovely Ultra Cholesterol... Cheap but it gets the job done. It stopped my shedding as well.

I added some pure natural shea butter to my Keracare Humecto Conditioner and heated both up (to melt the shea butter). I was a bit unsure at first as it felt a bit sticky. I put on a plastic cap and stayed under the dryer on and off for 30 minutes. My hair came out really soft and really easy to get the comb through. I was even able to get a fine tooth comb thru with no problems!!

I saw this at the health food store this weekend and almost bought it -- and then I thought of what my SO reaction would be if I walked in the house with ANOTHER bottle of conditioner and put it down.

Girl you better go back and getchu some!! :lachen:I normally don't rave about products because most that I've found so far are just 'so so'. But this... I'd gladly trade in all my other conditioners for this one alone... except my Aubrey Organics stuff :nono:... they'll have to :samurai:me first!

Mega Hit: Kiehl's Silk Groom, its kind of pricey but worth it. This stuff provides the right amount of moisture to my hair without weighing it down. I like this better than Aveda USC on my dry hair. I will use the Aveda on wet hair from now on.

:love2:HIT

Redken All Soft Conditioner - just okay. Didn't do anything special for me. Next time I am going to mix it with some Silk Peptide powder or some oils. We'll see.:ohwell:

Biolage Fortifying Treatment. It's good stuff. I have a couple stick straights parts that have always been more prone to breakage. This stuff takes care of that. :yep:

HITS:

Redken All Soft Velvet Whip:
This stuff is awesome! It acts as a leave-in and a thermal/heat protectant. After I used my flat iron, my hair was soo soft, shiny and swingy. I was soo impressed. Honestly, I like it better than heat glide. I will be stocking up on this.

Redken Extreme Rescue Force Treatment:Good stuff! It left my hair feeling soft and strong.

On the fence:

Redken Heat Glide: I'm still on the fence with this one. It doesn't leave my hair feeling all that soft and silky after using it. I get better results with the Redken Velvet Whip or Fantasia IC straightening serum heat protectant. I'm not sure if I used too much or what. I'll use less next time to see if I get better results.
