I love my all natural horn comb! I don't use it daily though. Here is my early hit:

Distilled/purified water mist  I think water is truly the best moisturizer! I have made my own moisturizing mists for years but it usually had a mixture of oils/glycerin/moisturizer etc...I just decided to use water with no added fluff...my mango butter mix works even better....except now I'm using it as a "sealant"--even though it has moisturizing properties of its own. Why haven't I been doing this all summer? At one point, I was rinsing my hair everyday but I actually prefer misting with the water...since rinsing caused too much manipulation.

So far I am hearing wonderful things about these combs. I won't be using them everyday just when I am taking the hair down to wash and put back in a low/no manipulation or protective style.

Thanks for the comment.

Putting my scarf on at the dentist's office. :lachen:

They thought I was crazy (and I bet I looked crazy), but everytime I go there they are always splashing water and stuff all over the place. :wallbash:

I went in looking cute with my hair down, but after going to the bathroom, I emerged with satin rollers and a satin scarf on. :lachen:

One lady that worked there was right with me and understood where I was coming from. Actually when I got ready to leave, she asked if my hair held up.

Let me post my hit over here too.

Hit....Accidental braid out.

I co-washed my hair (Silicon Mix ), oiled my scalp (H2H Stimulate Growth Oil ),sprayed on a leave in Moisturizer (H2H Moisture Spritz ), Detangled in 4 sections, rubbed on a little more cream moisturizer (Optium Cream Hairdress:ohwell:), and pulled my hair back in a ponytail. I braided the end of the ponytail, added 2 rollers, and rubbed a little Wonder Eight Oil  on the top, put on my scarf, and went to sleep. The next morning my hair was still wet on the ends so I just twisted the braids (2) around and made a bun. <----Yesterday. This morning, I took out the braids and fluffed my hair. I went to pin my hair up and thought, this look is cool. So I just left it down. It has lots of body and waves. Turned out better than I would have ever expected!:yep:

Aw, I'm using Times New Roman as my font...maybe I can make the size larger because I love being "bold"-lol.
Is this better? To answer your question, I am using my own "mango butter mix" as I like to call it...not Elasta QP's version...though I have tried that several years ago. I like to start with virgin mango butter (which is very hard to find) and mix it with unrefined jojoba oil, sodium lactate (for moisture), and vitamin e oil...but I got some ideas from Sareca () and added a few more ingredients (my recipe is not exactly like the one she has so it's been interesting testing the butter with the new ingredients...but I love mango butter to death...it really reduces the knots on the ends of my hair). I've been using it for almost a year now...and I'm glad I made the switch...I had 2 1lbs of virgin mango butter sitting around and I just decided to get creative one day after running out of what I thought was my "beloved moisturizer" (I finally figured out it was causing excessive shedding :() and have been using it ever since...

P. S. Of course...I wouldn't tell you to "sit down."

Whew, glad I didnt get told to go sit down somewhere! giggles.

Your mix sounds yummy! Gotta love our Sareca!

Oh, I do like the font much better bigger. ;) Thanks. I actually enjoy using TNR at work. one of my fav fonts.)

Yes, I love it...and Sareca is a gem. I will probably continue to use my own mix (original recipe) and maybe alternate product usage with her créme (*crosses fingers* that it will be widely available soon). I have to tell you...that mango butter is a must have... though I think you already got that impression from my previous post, lol.

Aw, no problem! I think with mango butter you either love or hate it...the same with shea butter. I thought I would like unrefined shea butter but it just wasn't doing much at all besides making my hair feel greasy. I have to tell you that most mango butter that is sold on the market is refined...and I have to have the virgin/unrefined stuff (just my preference). However, refined should be just as good...lots of peeps use refined mango butter.

The have a lot of Joico, Healthy Sexy Hair, Rusk, Sebastian, Back to Basics, Biosilk, Nexxus, even PhytoOrganics. I got some Humectin. It was a huge bottle with a pump for 9.99. I gave that away.
