Phytospecific Intense Nutrition Shampoo and Mask
CB Smothie 6-N-1 Reconstructor-:love3:
Cheaper than Affirm 5-n-1 and works just as good-only $9.50.
Kids Organic Sheabutter Lotion

One the Fence
Phytosecific Milky Reconstuctor :look:

Misses
None

As we've chatted, I'm happy for you and your Phyto experience!:grin:

It's okay to be on the fence with the reconstructor, some folks like it, some don't.:ohwell:

I use it and never really had a problem with it. I've recently begun to mix it like I read on the website once with the Intense Nutrition Mask; sometimes I mix it with the Aphogee 2 minute reconstructor.

I think it's okay to mix it up with something else as it does have some benefits and ya paid for it..:look:

:yep: Oh, yeah. I have 4 Marshall's within 20 minutes of me and all of them have really been stocking up on the hair care products. The have a lot of Joico, Healthy Sexy Hair, Rusk, Sebastian, Back to Basics, Biosilk, Nexxus, even PhytoOrganics. I got some Humectin. It was a huge bottle with a pump for 9.99. I gave that away. I only bought because it was a great deal. I check every week now for great hair care deals.

well my marshall 'be' tripping then! lol

MISS..........Nutrine Garlic Poo for shedding. I used half the bottle before I would call it a true hit or miss. This stuff tangled my hair and dried it out some awful. It also has SLS and my hair can't do SLS. I went back to my Eluence Moisturizing shampoo and my hair thanked me!

Hit.....

Silicon Mix: I am glad I FINALLY tried this products. It's the bomb. Would I repurchase it again??? Well, only if I could find it while on vacation and could pick it up. It's not sold here and I would have to pay shipping AND wait on the mail to get it. Pantene Moisturizing Replenishing cream is just as good if not better and I can pick it up locally. But Silicon Mix is good stuff if you want to go the Dominican route or you have it locally in your city.:yep:

Apples, Niki, Gym, .....Where do you get this?? (Trade Secret) How much is it running, AND if any of you used UBH Dew, how does this compare???

Hi Letitia!!

I bought mine at a new hair salon here in my city!

Ooohh!!! I got two bottles of the HSH Soy TriWheat leave in spray at Marshall's for 4.99!!! I love it!!! Excellent product!

Brownie...

I WAS ROBBED!!!!!!!!:wallbash:

oh well! I guess I'll check Marshalls for my next bottle!! Thanks for that bit of info!!! :yep:

HIT--using neutralizing poo as a regular part of shampooing routine!! Maded my hair feel so soft after 4 days of being relaxed. My hair was feeling bone dry, I shampooed with some Neutralizing poo and my hair felt so soft! Thanks for the tip Sareca!

I know heat is 'THE DEBIL':evilbanana: 'round these parts, but I flat iron....:ohwell:

And I wanted a nice one that wasn't expensive...:perplexed

So I bought a Conair Infiniti Cordless Ceramic Tourmaline flat iron.

:clap:MAJOR HIT!!!!!!!!!!!!
Makes my hair SOFT, SHINY, & SMOOTH!

& I bought it on Ebay for $10! :yep:

This thing sells for about $50 in Wally World.:spinning:

I use it in combo w/ Design Essentials hair cream (HIT)

and CSI.

You are right! It did stop my shedding though. The only way I can use it is if I dilute it with water and then follow up with a moisturizing poo like the elucence or kenra.

Yeah Apples, that 4.99 does make my heart hurt. I looked in Marshalls today and :nono: nothing! Trade Secret has it for around 14.00 too! Brownie518 just find all the deals! That's alright, she keep up on our toes!

I will try diluting it with water. It did slow my shedding somewhat but, those darn tangles and dry hair was driving me nutty!!! Thanks for the tip.

I saw the DE cream as a hit. I love Design Essential products but I have never paid attention to the cream. I will keep an eye out for it on my New DE order to replenish my supply.

Thanks!.I will try this combo.
My next Phyto purchase will be the Vital Force Creme.

I cannot use this poo alone I always follup with Elucence poo or pre poo with a conditioner.
I think one is harsher than the other I have both the scented and unsented Nutine poo.

HIT: IC Fantasia 1-minute reconstructor.

I used to use this when I was in high school. Opening the package and smelling that cotton candy scent was enough to have me reminiscing for hours. :) Anyway, I usually use Fiberguard when I feel my hair needs "reconstructing." It's one of those "30 minute w/ heat" kinda of reconstructors. So when a sample package of IC came with some product I redordered I decided to give it a go. I left it on for about 4 minutes while I showered and my hair was much shiner and felt great. I'll keep fiberguard as my post-relaxer reconstructor, but IC is my new steady. :)

Hit: Miss Key Super 10 en 1- this product has not been hyped enough! It left my natural hair buttery soft with no leave in!! Even after it dried, someone said it was similar to Elasta DPR:nono: not for me this beats that hands down! I put it on my dry hair with a bag over it for about 20-30 mins then I rinsed out :yep: now I have to look out for people coming to London to harass for more

Miss: VO5 Smooth conditioner I was trying to use up my conditioners and tried this, it left my hair feeling stripped and i had to do a moisturising DC to get my soft hair back...

Upcoming: Silicon Mix- I haven't tried this yet I just received it but will try later in the week. I didn't get my lacio lacio:sad: my girl said she couldn't find it:ohwell:

Sareca, I cannot stop looking at your pics when I see them as I scroll through the threads. Just beautiful. :yep:

Misses:
Giovanni Direct Leave-in. Definitely did not live up to the hype! And the fact that I had to order it disappoints me all that much more. My hair feels rough and greasy.
Aubrey's GPB. Too much hype, too. Did not help with breakage/shedding and was not all that cheap. Combing was a catastrophe.

Neutral:
Aubrey's Honeysuckle Rose Conditioner. I can't particularly stand the smell. Not as great as I was expecting (i.e. to alternate with my Moisturefuse and Hydrafuse), but it was okay. But I can spend $2.99 on some Motions Moistureplus and be just as happy (if not more)!

Hit:
Giovanni Vitapro Fusion. Not a hit for my hair, but my 3-yr-olds hair loved it! I could comb through it and it spruced her curls up! Move over No More Tangles!!

Oh yea, I forgot that I revisited that one. I still had a bottle in the house... it was still a MISS!

Dang :wallbash:. Wish I didn't have to find out the hard way. Still, I'm very thankful it wasn't a $15 miss or something. I'll live with the $5.99 plus shipping. I'm thinking: "It's all natural-- how can it hurt my hair??!!" Clearly that was deluded thinking!

Man, I guess I better head on over and confess in the "What I Bought This Week" thread, b/c I ordered some Dominican stuff...

Oh wait! I have a hit!
Design Essentials RX Leave-in mixed with Sunsilk Anti-Caide and Giovanni Direct! How Anti-Caide and Giovanni suck so bad alone, I'll never know... But so glad I was able to save 'em (and prolong that $30 bottle of leave-in :yep:!)

Misses:
~SheaMoisture Leave In Conditioner. I did not find this product life-changing. I found the detangling properties to be decent, but not spectacular. Furthermore, it is a weighty product, and over a short period of time my hair accumulated a fair amount of build up. My hair certainly was soft, but, weighted down. Depending on one's hair, it may not be suitable as a daily moisturizer. I realize Supergirl raved about this one, but, I was only mildly impressed.

~Mizani Rose H2O Nighttime Treatment: It does stop breakage. However, this is a temporary fix, IMHO, for hair breakage. The best approach is to use a good protein reconstructor as needed, IMHO. It also gives the hair a sulfur-like odor, which I do not find appealing. Again, I know many have raved about this product, Supergirl in particular, but I was only mildly impressed.

~Mizani Thermasmooth Serum: I purchased this thinking that it would be an effective heat protectant. It wasn't. It has the consistency of maple syrup - sticky and heavy. Not for me.

Hits:

~Treasured Locks H2G Growth Oil. It absorbs easily into the hair and scalp, and a little is all that is needed. Contains jojoba, shea buttter and emu oils.

~Redken Exreme Rescue Force. A very effective protein reconstructor. Recommended by the stylist who cuts my hair.

~Redken Smooth Down Detangling Cream: Works like a proverbial charm on my hair.

~Mastex Thermal Spa Conditioning Heat Cap: An excellent product.

HUGE MISS- Jamaican Black Castor Oil

I used it as a prepoo before I got a blowout at the Dominican Salon. The result was hard, sticky hair that tangled into knots. Even after being washed and set my hair still feels stiff and stuck together. This product also sucked as a sealer on wet hair, and it stinks. Boo!!!!!

Hey, you know I'll look out for you if I find some more. I will be trolling Marshall's this week (and TJ Maxx, too) so I'll keep you in mind!!!:yep:

Tee, where do you order from? I am a new DE convert and I want some larger sizes. TIA

Oh no!!! I ordered this last night:blush: What does it smell like?

Hit - AO Honeysuckle Rose. I DC'd w/ it Saturday nite for mebbe 1hr w/o heat. My hair felt so great afterwards!! Im so happy!

Possible Hit - Giovanni Direct. I really liked it.. I used it as my leave in and sealed w/ a lil EndAll balm. I blowdried my hair cuz I had to sing last nite and didnt really feel like risking an airdrying fiasco!! So on my blowdried hair it was FABUUUU! Im feelin the no cone thing!! My hair is light and airy (still doesnt move tho :wallbash: ) and very soft. Ill just have to see how it does on airdried hair.

Hit - Conair Infiniti Tourmaline Ionic Blowdryer. I have never seen the purpose of having a 'higher end' blowdryer (and this one aint really high end..! Can you say 'coupon'?? :lachen: ). But I paid $40 for this one and I notice SUCH a difference from my $9.99 boy. My hair just feels alot better. It comes w/ a diffuser attachment and a concentrated nozzle. I use the concentrated nozzle w/ my spikey brush (dunno what its called, its round w/ spikey bristles for blowdrying ). Havent used the diffuser attachement yet tho.

No misses so far!! Im very excited!! :D

I notice that with the concentrator on my dryer (I have a Rusk Hyper Ionic) I can use the cooler temp. The cool setting is warmer with the concentrator and blows my hair less.
