Here we go again :drunk:

I've never started one of these before :giggle:

Let's get this show on a roll..........

I have that C-Pak Vitamin C Treatment Conditioner from MasterCuts. I have yet to try it, but I will try it this weekend. I can't wait. It smells soooooooo good.

Gone TSU, you said bump this! I AM getting one in! DivaRoux you have to mark the date on your calender to get in early! :lachen:

I'm surprised VWVixxen didn't do it mid-August. :lachen::look:

 I thought about it, I really did but if I started it on the 15th, some how I just don't think ya'll would understand! :nono:

Nothing new for me, been using up what I have!

Oh what the heck-I'll go.

I think I've already raved in a couple of threads about the Mizani Butter Blends rhelaxer. DD was all  and I'm next. Very gentle on her scalp, no irritation what so ever.

Has ANYBODY out there found the Wella Keratin Oil? I can't find it anywhere and I want to use it in my relaxer.

Hit: I am in  with Nexxus Ensure Conditioner. It is a conditioner with a PH balance of 3 that releases nutrients through out your hair. It is also a moisturizing detangler. It glides through my hair effortlessly.

Miss: I bought Oscar Blandi Exfoliating hair pre poo. I only used it 2x. It has not really impressed me though. The body shop brazil nut pre poo did a better job.

I got one

SUPER HUGE HIT!!!!

Marc Anothony forever long 60 second reconstructor- This review is bittersweet for me :cry3: because this product is discontinued. I got this earlier this year from a friend of mine in a product swap and never really thought about it until last week. It is designed to go on after your normal shampoo and conditiong treatment. It is light purple, extremely creamy and it smells great too. I used enough to cover my hair, especially my ends and then I covered it with pantene mask. I was going to just let it sit for 20 minutes but I fell asleep so it ended up being like 2 hours. I hopped into the shower to rinse and :yay: :yay: I wanted to do flips in my house. My hair felt soo strong but soft like silk. The top two ingredients are water and wheat protein. I immediatly ran to my computer to search for it on his website and that is when I saw that it was discontinued. :nono: :wallbash:I bout passed out. I am going to take my bottle and go the store to compare ingredients in his other stuff to see if I can find its distant cousin. I am also going to try more of his stuff.

Hit or Miss :look: NTM (I mean it was really a hit)...
but no one is coming close (including Aveda) to Nexxus. After this my heart solely belongs to Nexxus.

I haven't ventured in here before but I thought I would now.

I have two hits.

Anyone with natural hair that has a love affair with tangles RED PALM BUTTER from Camden Grey is wonderful. I little bit goes a long way, makes the hair supple and is a major help with tangles. It is also good for your skin especially after a shower or bath.

The next is Camellia Oil from Oils of Nature - Also incredible. I used this in my hair as an oil conditioner, in my Amla hair mud recipe, on my edges about 3x a week and a dime size on my face right after washing it with baking soda and water. I really love it.

This one isn't a Hit or Miss yet. I guess I can call this one Pending Further Review

I am waiting to use these when I do my next washes since I am in one of several challenges dealing with low or no manipulation, protective styling etc!

Anyway........I purchased a bone comb and an Ox Horn Comb. From my research it seems these particular hair tools are very beneficial for people with cottony masses of wonderfulness that have a dysfunctional love affair with tangles.:wallbash: I got both from Ebay and will be testing them out in the next week. There are different types or designs of each of these combs for different hair types such as thin or thick hair.

Here is some information regarding both.
Bone Combs - A Well Kept Secret
What is a "bone" comb and why are they so great ??
In pre-historic times the best combs were actually made from bone (fish bone) as well as antelope horn, elephant tusk and goat horn. These materials were hard and smooth. When carved and polished they produced beautiful seamless combs. They were also anti-static and heat resistant.
The creating of these combs was very labor intensive. Once the right material was selected, the overall shape of the comb was carved. Then each tooth was carved, filed, sanded and polished over and over in a 18 step process done by hand. The bone comb is so finely finished that it does not snag, rip or split the hair.
When the use of animal materials was banned, there was no comb that did not damage hair. The beauty industry was desperate to find a suitable substitute since they were very dependant on bone combs for their work. After some time, a new material was formulated from a 100% organic resin material. This material is hard and smooth just like bone, and can be hand carved, sawed, and polished to exemplify all the unique features of the original bone comb. They are also anti-static and will not melt when used with hot styling tools.
There has been some hesitation to use "bone" when referring to these combs as they are not truly made of bone in modern days. Some companies refer to them as "bohn". Various other forms of bone descriptions abound. When wet there is a distinct fragrance.

Bone Combs are not cheap; however, you will find bone combs worth every penny you pay for them. Please, enjoy as you treat your hair to true luxury.

Horn combs are made of keratin which is very good for the scalp and which is the same protein that hair is made of so it eliminates static and tearing. No two are exactly alike

Now again, I have not tried either of these, cannot confirm the claims of these tools regarding the statements I found noted above and am not sure what to expect, but by October I will be able to tell you based on my experience if these are hits or misses.
