GOOD NEWS AND BAD NEWS

OK, after a meeting with a friend who studies a major for pharmaceutical studies, she told me there is no way i can preserve my avocado pulp products safely, without freezing. As i said up to 6months in the freezer which is what i tell all to do, but it wouldn't be possible when shipping to the USA. DAMN I'm very disappointed as a natural product supplier told me it would be fine with use of parabens..but to be honest..i don't wanna use parabens, germabens and other Ben's in these products, i don't want to sell you guys something you can get at the store loaded with preservies...i'm just not doing it

THE GOOD NEWS ISSS. :D

AVOCADO BUTTER (been raved about) is produced from avocado pulp, its an amazing thing...contains less protein, (but with type one, the egg white will counteract it, and produce a substantial amount of protein for strengthening, the top layers the natural way.

SOOOO, i can now use natural preservatives!! yay!! and still give you guys amazing benefits.

As noted before, type two will contain no egg or added protein.

I haven't taken any money from anybody who has purchased yet, so if you aren't keen anymore let me know, or i shall email you all in the next hour, and i will happily cancel the transaction. :)

Hopefully you willl love it as much as my aquaintences over here have!!!

Avocado Butter (Persea Gratissima) - Ultra Refined Avocado butter is obtained from the fruit of the avocado tree (Persea Gratissima) which grows in sub-tropical regions of the world. The butter is created from the avocado fruit oil through a unique hydrogenation process, which yields a soft, greenish butter. It has a mild odor and excellent melting properties, which is suitable for skin care. May be used in all types of soap and toiletries to improved moisturization and soften rough, dry skin.

Avocado (Persea americana) Avocado oil is made from the pulp of the avocado fruit. It is a rich, heavy but penetrating oil that is full of nutritive and therapeutic components. Avocado oil contains more than 20 % essential unsaturated fatty acids. It contains vitamins A, C, D and E, proteins, beta-carotene, lecithin, fatty acids and the "youth mineral" potassium. Avocado oil is high in unsaponifiables (sterolins) which are reputed to be beneficial in reducing age spots, healing scars and moisturizing the upper layers of the skin. Unsaponifiables are a large group of compounds called plant steroids or sterolins. They soften the skin, have superior moisturizing effect on the upper layer of the skin and reduce scars. The sterolins in avocado oil have been found to diminish age spots. Oils with the highest unsaponifiables are shea butter, avocado oil, sesame oil, soybean oil and olive oil.

Hey Sweetie,

Thanks! If you need any advice let me know. I'm sure the other entrepreneurs on board will help you as best they can too. If you want to avoid parabens you could always send the conditioner with a note indicating that the customer can mix it with avocado, etc. in order to enrich the base.

Also, grapefruit seed extract is a powerful natural preservative. Just put a few drops in a glass of water and have a taste. And THAT'S with a non-professional strength!!! Prof strength is just very, very pricey! I have both: non-prof for internal use and prof. for the business.

Consider too polysorbate which is used in foods and is a step above parabens for sure. GSE is the number one choice for folks who want to get as natural as possible.

I know Carol's Daughter sells some scrubs that have to be kept refrigerated and there's an extra expense for shipping it cold. That would of course create an added expense for you and the customer, but folks are willing to pay for quality.

Keep your head up, keep doing what you're doing. You should be very proud that you're taking the leap. It is a lot of work and after all is said and done, if your prices are fair, the "profit" isn't a lot and usually gets recycled back into the business. Just stick with it Sweetie!! I'm still planning to order something and tell my 12 year old that a young lady is behind the business. :)
