Have You Used This For Rapid Hair Growth?

I'm willing to bet that many of those are paid reviews by the manufacturer.

There's no need to make growing hair so complicated. Unless you have a medical condition that interferes with the growth of your hair, then a healthy diet, keeping the hair clean and moisturized and using products(shampoo, conditioners, moisturizers, etc) that agree with your hair is all it takes to see progress. I get that this is a boring approach vs. having 50 products in your arsenal but for the vast majority of people this works.

I didn't see anything in the ingredients list that looked any different than most other HSN vitamins. I agree with the previous poster that lots of reviews are "sponsored" and not necessarily objective.

Yeah, there are a lot of sponsored products on Amazon, hard to trust. I've taken these and have multiple bottles that I never finished. I think I threw them away when cleaning out products last month. Results were no different than a standard biotin supplement, caused my face to break out, tasted yuckers and just wasn't really a miracle worker.

Look for reviews that say "this review was offered in return for free product" or "this product was given to me in exchange for a review" blah blah blah. Sure, they're all good reviews, but they all got a free product and want to keep getting free products. Doesn't mean it doesn't work, but it ain't a miracle.

I’ve noticed people, including myself who have taken hair vitamins and had results from them, were lacking essential vitamins to begin with.

It makes sense that if your body as well as your hair aren’t receiving the nutrients they need from the beginning, introducing a tablet, or pill, or juice that’s packed with vitamins, would yield results/growth.

It also makes sense that if your diet is very well balanced and you receive high dosages of vitamins and nutrients from your diet naturally, hair vitamins probably won’t do much of anything since you’re getting what you need anyways.


Sometimes I see maybe an extra 1/2 inch if I’m taking multivitamins or hair,skin, and nail gummies, but then I reasses my diet from the last month, and I haven’t been including good amounts of essential nutrients. On months where I’ve been eating a variety of foods from meats to fruits and everything in between, hair vitamins don’t do squat for me.

Honestly I no longer believe in the hype of hair growth aides. I use to but never got the type of growth and thickness that just being healthy has given me. I only ever saw a true DRAMATIC difference in my hairs growth and thickness until I started taking great liquid vites. Before them I used rogaine for my severely thinning crown and it worked to a certain extent (not sure if it was just a placebo effect though) but after 1 month on liquid vites my hair is almost completely filled in and I wasn't consistent with my rogaine. B4 on just rogaine I didn't get even close to this in 9 months.

All that to say the only "growth aide" I trust is liquid vites. The rest are truly (to me) just hype (except maybe sulfur based products which I could never get into).

I also take the sbr nutrition 5000 mcg biotin but have now changed to this collagen and biotin combo.

I haven't tried the collagen yet though but will start on Thurs when it arrives. Before this collagen I was just taking a reg liquid collagen which worked great for hair skin and nails (i'm literally glowing now) but I wanted to save money.

These "growth aides" are marketed towards people who are impatient with waiting and letting the hair grow at the rate that it was meant to. I understand being impatient because I know that I was after I BC'd but these growth aids are scams, imo. Healthy living, patience and using and sticking with products that keep your hair clean and moisturized is all it takes for the vast majority of people to come out with good results. Messing with "growth aides" and all these other mysterious potions is one of the reasons why so many people have all these setbacks.

I usually don't say anything in these types of threads but I began to think about the number of young Black girls who are probably lurking on this forum who may be under the impression that they need growth aides to make their hair grow. No, your hair grows on its own because that is one of the biological processes of the human body. Black people tend to have more of a problem with retention than growth and you don't need all these special potions that cost an arm and a leg to retain length. Most people can get by with a basic shampoo bar, moisturizing and protein conditioner and maybe throw in a gel, grease or low cost pomade if you'd like. Again, not trying to tell people what to do, my concern is with the preteens and teens out there starting off on their hair journey who turn to this board for information.

I’m glad you put that out there. Though most teens will read this and then still buy the miracle potion. Don’t you remember those days? That feeling that if something doesn’t happen in time for prom it might as well never happen.
Most of us adults have our moments too. Myself included.

I’m looking to switch vitamin brands. I was planning to switch to a tablet multi by rainbow light but I ordered this instead. I noticed there is no vitamin k in these. Though this is good encouragement to eat more leafy greens.

That's the first thing I noticed as well. The growth kind of snuck up on me. I'm getting a bit annoyed with them though because they keep raising the price.

Like everyone else says, look into your diet for vitamins. The only thing that gave me 1 inch of growth in one month was an intravenous iron infusion my hematologist gave me. Know why? Cause I'm anemic. Currently my anemia is acting up and my hair is shedding like a dog. So I need to consistently take my iron supps.
