Clove spray for hair growth?

Just spritzed liberally before putting on this wig cap in this heat!

I made a batch using 2 TBSP of organic cloves and 2 cups of water. I froze more than half of the batch using an ice cube tray. I have spritzed my hair nightly for the past 2 days.

For those using it as a final rinse: Are you leaving the clove water in your hair without rinsing with water? Or are you rinsing with water after putting the clove water in your hair?

When I do it as a final rinse, the clove water is the last thing to touch my hair before adding leave-in, or products for blow drying.

Yes! My locs have been crispety since I started using it. I even diluted it more with spring water and aloe vera juice, but it still dried my locs out.

I saw one YouTuber warning that it can cause dryness. I still haven’t tried it yet. My bag of cloves just sitting on the counter.
But I have several herbs I want to test out and just haven’t gotten around to them yet.

I don’t find it drying. I focus on my scalp and I rotate with an oil.

Y’all I still haven’t made another bottle of clove water. My daughter has been at her grandmas for the last few weeks and my hair has been silk pressed. I’ll make more before I pick her up next week. They start school on July 18th.

I don't find it necessarily drying. It has been more softening for me/my hair. But I do use it as part of an LOC.

I've also used it as a Final R/O. (no dryness/crispiness)

As @Keen mentioned, I focus mostly on scalp.

I’ve read the opposite. They were saying to watch for moisture overload. I make sure to use my strengthening leave in with it to be on the safe side.

So I found some aloe juice in the fridge. I’ll use it as a base for my next clove water bottle.

I just prepped about 8 ounces of aloe/clove spray. I’ll add some clove oil to intensify the smell. Once you remove the cloves the smell gets really light.

Amazon. It’s not as continuous as I expected but it is so much better than those spray bottles from Walmart.
Let’s see if this last more than a month.

I can start spraying my scalp again. My hair isn’t straight anymore. I cowashed and out it in plaits earlier this week

I made a little too much aloe/clove water. I ended up dipping my ends in the mix and massaging my scalp with some too. I sprayed baby girl’s hair. Her twa is growing nicely. She’s wearing it in a puff tomorrow. Maybe she’ll let me braid it next weekend

My hair grows really fast when I actually spray it. Laziness gets the best of me usually but I’ve sprayed 3x this week and the ripples are crazy. This makes me miss my stylist or a relaxer

Y’all I found 2 unopened bottles of xcel21 yesterday when I moved out of my storage unit. I’ll be using it as braid spray for my daughter. Maybe me too.

I’ll still pray clove water once a week. I think if you over do the clove spray it can make your hair feel hard/crunchy. Mine was rough like it had never been rough before. I had to give it some TLC.
