My Cousin Has A Hair Growth Secret

I'm confused as to why this is so important to you. You say your aunt is competitive and petty, but, you sound just as competitive and petty. Like someone said earlier you and your mom wasn't doing anything to help her grow her hair when it was short because according to you your hair just naturally grew, now, that she is outdoing you you feel like you have a right to know how the short haired girl upstaged you. That's some petty mess, right there. I would probably be telling ya'll to pray, too. OTOH, that response about praying probably was a bomb dropped because when they asked your mom or you they got that bull about ya'lls hair just growing naturally long. Although, that may be true to someone trying to grow their hair it sounds like pure BS and a slap in the face.

OK first off did you read the thread? My mom did nothing more to my hair than she did to my cousins. We washed and braided. That is all. Back in the day there were no hair boards and information about hair oils etc. Second, I don't need to be competitive or petty and never was about my hair. The background to this I never mentioned about my aunt's and cousins insecurities but I won't get into all that, but it has a lot to do with that.

She's not out doing me. My goal for my hair is to keep it healthy and long. If you see my profile pic you can see I've not be outdone. My hair is capable of growing WL if I wanted. However that's not my goal. My goal is to keep it healthy and long (not necessarily WL).

Why I want to know her "secret" is cause it amazes me how her hair became so healthy and long compared to what it used to be, that is all. She can never outdo me in any way. I'm happy for her and not just cause of her hair but because she is cancer free and healthy. If anything her insecurities about herself and her hair make her petty. Why not share with her cousins/family?? What would it hurt her? That is petty and selfish.

I missed the pic every single time but finally caught it! Her hair is gorgeous and would love to know what she's using. That said, like someone mentioned above, maybe the treatment changed her hair? I know of someone who underwent chemo and her 4 something hair is now 3b/c.

Interesting that you are trying to turn it around on me. You are the one posting this nonsense not me. But, like you said, you can grow your hair to waist length and you're happy for her. It doesn't really sound like you are happy for her. It sounds like you are pissed because she won't let you in on her "secret".

You are a member of a hairboard where plenty of women here have gone from short hair to long hair just by taking better care of their hair and bodies. There are no "secrets" that haven't already been posted on this very forum. You said yourself that she takes better care of herself now that she is cancer free. My dear, that is the "secret". So, for all this posting and wondering and guessing the "secret" has been staring you in the face, but, you couldn't see it. Wonder why.....

But chemo weakens your hair right? How can it make it stronger?

Chemo destroyed my mom's 4B hair. But chemo had little/no negative effect on my sister I mentioned earlier. We weren't sure whether it was the chemo or the healthy lifestyle that changed her tangly 4A hair to a 3B/C hair - according to my uncle (a cosmetics scientist), it's unlikely to be the chemo and he supports the healthy lifestyle as the cause.

You know I normally ignore your posts cause you're so ignorant but not today. Sis you're trying too hard and it ain't working :lachen:. I don't understand why this thread is so long. @Italiano your hair is long and pretty so I don't get the fascination with your cousin's hair. I think she's taking better care of herself now and that's the difference.
Actually I do understand. No one posts hair pictures anymore so I guess her hair is a novelty.

Thanks :) The fascination isn't her hair but more like the change of her hair. I wish I had a before picture for you to see. Then you would understand.
 
Did you check for her when she had her cancer? That could be the reason she's not messing with you lol
