I listed them below, I really liked how it felt on my hair, but unclogging the drain, like Drano , Ingredients: Water (Aqua), Cetyl Alcohol, Stearyl Alcohol, Stearalkonium Chloride, Coco Nut Oil, Tiare Flower, Glycerin, Behentrimonium Methosulfate, Cetrimonium Chloride, Polyquaternium-11, Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Daucus Carota Sativa (Carrot) Seed Oil, Anthemis Nobilis (Camomile) Flower Oil, Melaleuca Alternifolia (Tea Tree) Leaf Oil, Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis (Sweet Almond) Oil, Ricinus Communis (Castor)Seed Oil, Tocopheryl Acetate (Vitamin E), Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Disodium EDTA, Phenoxyethanol , Caprylyl Glycol, Sorbic Acid

Okay did some research Behentrimonium methosulfate is a CHEMICAL
is naturally derived from grapeseed oil. It is actionic and self-emulsifying; it is made up of cetearyl alcohol and behentrimonium methosulfate. This chemical is considered the most superior among other hair conditioning agents because of its innate property to thicken, condition and detangle hair. Hair may be combed completely even when wet plus is gentle even for sensitive skin use,
This did change my curl pattern a bit, it is looser, like a 3 day old twist-out ,

Plenty of conditioners and moisturizers contain BMTS, and I've never heard of any of them clearing drains. I'm thinking that those specific ingredients in those specific amounts created some kind of drain de-gunking reaction when mixed with water.

you may be right, I'm going to research a bit further, but, I'm telling you it unclogged my drain faster than any drain cleaner, I've ever used, including the vinegar, baking soda, hot water

Is this your house? My bf used to work on houses and he said not to use drain cleaner bc it messes up pipes. Get a zip it and snake your drain, then use pliers to pull out snagged hair. Lastly take a plunger, plug the overflow hole and plug/flush the rest of the hair out.

It might be the DSodium EDTA. I don't think so, but the only thing on the list that could be connected to that.

yes it's my house, and I no longer use the Drano, for that very reason your bf mention.

we use to have a wonderful biology, cosmetic chemist type member on this site but she left a long time ago. I don't know who would be able to solve this riddle now.
