If you're moisturizing your hair, and you're not moisturizing your insides shame on you.

If you wake up in the morning and you only pee a little bit, drink more water.

If your pee is more than slightly yellow, drink more water.

If you ever get thirsty ever, drink more water.

Moisturizing your hair is not enough. Replenish your moisture from the inside out. Drink more water.

That's all I have to say about that (feeling inspired by the Lt. Dan-Forest Gump couples costume I saw on Halloween last night.)

This is so very true. I always monitor my water intake and my pee output...lbvs.

Lol thanks KiWi. I didn't mean to get so graphic with my post, but that's really the best indicator if you're getting enough hydration from the inside out.

Thanks for the post krissyhair
I have a little tip/trick for anyone having trouble w/ their water in take.
While art work, or even at home, drink 1 - 12oz cup of water every other hr. If you work 8 hrs, you would've consumed 48 oz of water at work And the rest you can do at home. This way it's not so Overwhelming.

That's a good start for people not used to drinking a lot yet.

I like to drink about 20 ounces when I wake up in the morning. It makes me feel refreshed and wakes up my digestive system.

Just reread your post and saw you said every other hour. I also think if you drank 8oz every hour for 8hrs it would give you the recommended amount for the day.

A nurse just confirmed it for me today that drinking water improves blood flow. We all know blood flow helps your hair grow.

I love the idea of a water consumption challenge!

I have just recently started a personal water challenge. I bought a 74.4 oz jug and I drink that daily. I try to get in more here and there, but as long as I drink that amount I call it a win for the day.

Here's the water bottle I drink from daily. The research company gives away free gifts to students for using their database. It's a pretty nice perk. Camelbak water bottles are pretty expensive.

This is a great thread! I am very diligent about drinking water. I drink my weight in ounces divided by 2 daily until...

A few days before my cycle. The water retention is real and it's so hard to get down!!

Water Your Body is a GREAT app to track your water intake. It sends you notifications when it's time to drink more, and you can also track your progress (and weight) over time :yep:

I'm sharing the full story behind my post on water and blood circulation in case anyone is interested.

I tried to donate blood at the school blood drive this week. It was my second time trying; the Red Cross comes every few months.

The first time I ended up with a mild hematoma and only a little blood came out so the nurse stopped collecting. This time I thought things would be different. Instead, I got an even bigger, nastier hematoma. I know not to try to donate anymore.

But the nurse said I don't drink enough water, which makes it difficult to donate because water makes your veins larger and better. I told her I have at least 40 fluid ounces a day. She said that's not enough, and I need to drink more to increase blood flow, especially if I ever try to donate again.

(Honestly tho, after the last two times I probably won't)

I'm glad that water is my natural go-to. The only drink I keep in my fridge is bottled water (and wine, lol) which annoys most people who come to visit me. But nothing tastes as good as water. I'm surprised that people don't "like" water and have a hard time consuming it.

Eating enough salt is important to staying hydrated too. Although I drink enough water, I eat mostly low sodium. That can make you dehydrated.

Story of my life with my patients but they (the docs) like our patients dry as hell so getting iv and bloods is a chore. Vascular ute is totally collapsed. The rule of thumb is at least to drink half ur body weight in ounces. So i at least try to drink 60oz a day.

Hope you're holding down my city while I'm in the Midwest

Warm or cold water?
Been drinking a lot of coffee for energy and as a comfort drink.

I have been slacking on water and I am thirsty.
Noticed less hair growth too.
