manipulation

Applying mechanical force to your hair. You would do this if you were moving it, combing it, pulling it, washing it etc etc

messing with it. Whether it be combing/brushing too often, detangling, washing, multiple styles, even twirling your hair around your finger.

Of course we all have to manipulate our hair. Its just about how often and how harshly we do so

when that happens does it make the hair fall?

Manipulating your hair is necessary to some degree. Any time and every time you handle your hair, to comb it, to wash it, to style it....its called manipulation. Like a previous poster said, it all depends on how harshly, and how often, you handle it. Manipulating hair, like I said, is necessary and will not lead to hair falling out unless you are very rough with your hair. If you just yank a comb thru your hair, without properly detangling, and without starting at the bottom ends first....then that's rough manipulation - and YES that will make the hair break. As a rule of thumb, I always try to treat my hair like fine silk. I handle it very gently, no matter what I am doing. Hope this helps??
