2-3 uses of the Jane Cater Solution Revitalizing Leave In......love the stuff, one backup. Once gone I will begin using my Giovanni Vitapro Leave In again :lick::lick:.

Seeing my sister always means a few less products, so I have now given away my Entwine Creme Jelle Styler, UR Curly Loose Curl Enhancer, Shine 'n Jam Conditioning Gel Extra Hold, III Sisters of Nature Natural Lengthening Creams, and Alikay Naturals Lemongrass Leave-in.

At this rate, she is going to need to join the challenge

I'm thinking about repurchasing that Jane Carter. I didn't like it as a leave in, but it made my hair so soft as a daily spritz.

I was just about to repurchase the leave-in again, and then I looked up the ingredients. Polyquat-7 is designed to be absorbed into the hair to prevent frizz by preventing moisture from getting into the hair shaft.

Just thought I should mention it.

  • Pantene / Relaxed & Natural Conditioner (staple)

I went to repurchase this a few weeks ago. It's been a while so I didn't know they changed things up. Instead of a bottle saying "Relaxed and Natural" there was a "Pantene Truly Relaxed" product and another one for Natural hair. Come on, son. I'm transitioning so I didn't know what to do. :spinning: I looked at the ingredients and there were just two items low on the list switched around or one low on the list was missing. I don't remember the exact difference but whatever it was wasn't a big deal... I ended up with the relaxed hair one. They're in the same exact bottle as what the Relaxed & Natural Conditioner was sold in and it didn't feel different on my hair. *shrug*

  • Hawaiian Silky / 14-in-1 Moisturizer (repurchased, almost a staple)
  • Luster's / S-Curl Moisturizer

I was good at the BSS yesterday. I ended up repurchasing the Hawaiian Silky in case I don't like the S-Curl. I also repurchased one of my daughter's products so I did fine on hair products. My hair is in twists right now, my hair only. I've never done twists with extensions so I purchased one pack only to see how it looks. I may rock twists for the summer and water down some of my conditioners to use as a spray leave-in.

I didn't know this, thanks! I always try to check my ingredients, there's just so many to know :spinning: so I mainly focus on moisturizing or protein ingredients. I do have issues with frizz in the summer but retaining moisture my priority. I have a product that promises to reduce frizz that I planned to use this summer if I wear my hair out. I'll check the bottle and make sure I do a really good deep conditioning before using it and I won't plan to go more than a few days before another conditioning.

I had a Curl Junkie Day, so I used up samples of the Gentle Cleansing Shampoo, Beauticurls Argan & Olive oil Daily Conditioner, Repair Me!, and Beauticurls Leave-in Conditioner. I really like the Repair Me, so I am making it my staple protein and I just repurchased it because CurlMart is having a sale.

I'm still on the hunt for an alternate moisturizing deep and a better pomade, and so I bought a few things that is going to make my stash list longer. I do feel like I'm getting closer to a solid list, though. I'm not buying anymore shampoos.

I'm not close to using anything up but I did open some new things today. Tried the Giovanni nutrafix protein conditioner. Jury is still out. It isn't a fail but I want to compare it to the 4 naturals reconstructor. It felt really good going on my hair though.

I am using As I Am Deep Conditioner for the first time. I like thinner conditioners and this is fairly thick. I will leave it in for a few hours and rinse. I am hoping my hair likes it.

Used up my emergencia intense moisture split end mask + sallies gvp humectress conditioner. I might repurchase the mask idk. The humectress, probably won't buy again.

Sent from my iPad using LHCF

Used Up:
PuraBody Naturals Chocolate Smoothie 8 oz.

About to Use UP:

Used up:

1 x alberto deep conditioning treatment
2 x Ren pro vitamin conditioner (will not be purchasing, softened my hair after shampooing but @ £16 for 300ml, I can get much cheaper co-wash/rinse out cons that work a lot better
1 x Osmo hair treatment
Organics shea butter and tea-tree oil moisturizer (this will be my emergency backup if I cannot get hold of my HG/staples

Given away:

1 x body shop balancing poo
1 x alberto balsam deep conditioning treatment

My stash is looking a little lighter, co-washing 3 x per week will help me to get through it a little quicker. I can see light at the end of the tunnel lol

Maybe 2 more uses of one of my SD vanilla silk cream DCs. I tried the SD Wheat germ butter condish yesterday as a leave in:lick::yep:

I was bad. I bought a bunch of stuff, though some of the items are staples:
- Darcy’s Botanicals Curls Moisturizing Pumpkin Seed Deep Conditioner
- Bee Mine Bee-u-ti-ful Deep Conditioner
- Curl Junkie Curl Assurance Smoothing Lotion (staple)
- Oyin Hair Dew (staple)
- Now Grapeseed Oil (potential staple)

My sister is also visiting this weekend, so she is taking:
- Naturalicious Moroccan Rhassoul 5-in-1 Clay Cleansing/Conditioning Treatment
- Duafe Naturals Hair Elixir Oil
- Naturalista Cosmetics Juicy Leave-in (2 samples, I used the other 2)

I forgot one. I also bought Suave Naturals coconut conditioner. I'm trying to find a cheap rinse out because that is what I use the most of.

Haven't used up anything but using some new stuff. Finally dipped into my As I Am Conditioner. Not as good as the AO Blue Chamomile but it is good and I can get it locally. It softens my hair without heat and I can finger detangle my hair. It doesn't smooth it like the Blue Chamomile but I can live with that since I wear twists. I need to see how many uses I get from it.

Tried the Giovanni Nutrafix. I think I like it. Can't wait to try it again. If it works out, I will make this a staple protein conditioner.

Slowly working through my oils. I am almost finished with the Stinky Stuff.

I inherited my mom's stash so will add those items to my list in the future. Her stash wasn't too big. She had mostly hydrathermal natural stuff and some oils. Some of the other stuff I will probably just throw away.

I have plenty of everything so hopefully that will keep me out of the store for a while. The only thing I will play around with are conditioners. I'm set for everything else. I want to find an alternative for the Deva Curl. I tried Aussie Moist. My hair instantly said now. I may try the Giovanni again. I can't remember why I stopped using it.

I bought Yes to Carrots Conditioner today because it was over half off, but now I'm going on spending restriction. I can't buy anything that is not a replacement for awhile. I feel like I went backwards over the last week :(

I just used up my Almond Jai, and I miss it already.

I probably have one use left of my ORI Leave in. It grew on me. I would repurchase if it was easily accessible and also if I wasn't on spending restriction.

About to use up:
1 8oz. Jar of NG Orange and Hibiscus DC (LOVE THIS!) and 1 16 oz. bottle of Darcy's Pumpkin Seed COndish( I don't like this very much :nono:)

I plan to use them up by mixing them together with some oils, honeyquat and agave nectar. I have about 2 ounces of both so thats enough for my midweek DC.

ETA: I threw this out. I just couldn't muster up the courage to use the Pumpkin Seed condish. The stuff just doesn't work for me. I'm sad about the lost of my orange and hibiscus DC though :(.

In Progress:
B.A.S.K Cacao Bark and Yam Nectar DC's

ETA: SOLD THESE!

About to throw into DC Rotation:
Claudies Hair Revitalizer Intense Avocado DC
Claudies Hair Revitalizer Khave DC

It's wash day and I used up the 4 Naturals Extra Moist Detangling Conditioner. It is a 4 out of 5 for me. It is a good rinse out conditioner vs. a deep conditioner. I cowashed with it and it left my hair nice and soft. It is just a little too thick for me to work easily with it in my hair. I haven't decided whether I will repurchase. It's cheaper than my Deva Curl which I love. But I want to retry the Giovanni. I can't remember why I stopped using it. I also purchased some AO Island Naturals or whatever it is. I think 4/5 is good. And if I dilute it then it will last even longer. Time will tell.

I hope Ms. @JJamiah doesn't mind me starting Session 2. I knows she's been super swamped with school.

SO HERE IT IS LADIES

If you don't see your name and want to join, Please thank this post and YOUR IN :yep: . Thanks Ladies and Lets USE IT UP in 2013

Sessions are as follows:
Session 1 - Jan. 1, 2013 - April 30, 2013 DONE!
Session 2 - May 1, 2013 - August 31, 2013 IN PROGRESS!
Session 3 - Sept. 1, 2013 - December 31, 2013

The Rules:

1. Use the suggested categories or add categories of your own, list your stash within 5 days of joining the challenge. If you have a REALLY Big stash, put in a little at a time. But keep your list updated with the products used, given away, exchanged, etc.

Posting a starting pic of your stash is optional. You can then update this "place holder" as we go along with details of what you have used, sold, exchanged and given away.

2. For each category you can include 1 item for a staple. Mark this item. You can purchase 1 staple item per category to have 1 on hand without using a pass. If you stock up on staples anything beyond 1 item must be put in your stash list.

3. Participants are allowed 1 product purchase per month

4. The idea is to decrease your stash not increase it. You are free to swap, sell, throw away and give away products to your heart’s content as long as the stash is "decreasing". The aim is to be reasonable and realize that we do not need to buy so much stuff but rather be more disciplined with our regiments and learn to establish our staples by actually using the stuff instead of continually buying more !!!

6. Also please check in every 2 weeks to let us all know how it is going and to get support so you do not fall off the challenge.

7. If you fall off the wagon, update your stash list and get back in the game. The idea is to encourage better spending habits, make wise product purchases and to gain discipline in our regimens.

Paste the following info if you’re up for the challenge

1. What are your motivations for joining this challenge?

2. List the products you hope to use up in your stash. Use your own categories.

Suggested Categories:
- Shampoos
- Conditioners
- Deep Conditioners
- Leave Ins/Moisturizers
- Oils & Essential Oils & Butters
- Herbal & Ayurvedic Products
- Styling products
- Other

3. Post a Pic of your "Stash". (Optional)

4. What are your goal(s) for the session
i.e. – reduce my stash by 20%
i.e. – to have 1 shampoo, 2 conditioners, 3 styling products, etc.
[Fill in your goal]

1. My motivation is so i won't have to look at a draw full of stuff i don't use and have it stay there and I don't use it but keep adding

2.shampoos :quantum clarifier
Shea moisture curl and hibiscus shampoo

Conditioners : Aussie moist, Burt's bees, herbal essence totally twisted, miracle 7 color protect conditioner, quantum moisturizing conditioner, tresemme naturals conditioner, creme of nature nourishing conditioner

Deep conditioner: shea moisture deep treatment mask, wen remoist intensive air treatment, naturally silk elements deep moisture conditioner,, Hask placenta conditioning treatment, Burt's bees hair repair deep conditioner

Clarifying conditioner: V05 kiwi

Cleansing conditioner: whip your hair (this might be my got cleansing conditioner because it does cleanse without stripping and doesn't feel like product is in your hair after

Sealer: Jane carter nourish and shine, coconut oil

Moisturizer:shea moisture curl and style milk, shea moisture curl smoothie(can't stand that, it just sits on top of my head and have to keep rubbing it, that's the only product that has ever done that to me)

leave in: komaza coconut milk leave in (I might keep that as my leave in until further notices, gives slip(good for detangling), makes hair soft and love the smell

3. My goal is to get it down to one of each category, that's all I want, I want to to keep it simple, not be so obsessed with new products if it works it works, why venture out and try new things

Dang my stash is small compared to a lot your stashes, yal need help

I'm so bad. I went to Chicago, and I only took my butter because I was planning to twist my hair in the car and then wear my wig. Unfortunately, I forgot my wig. As a result, I bought a Shea Moisture Restorative Conditioner and a bottle of tea tree oil to make it through the weekend. I think I'm throwing out the tea tree oil because it wasn't a good product. I just bought it out of desperation.

I'm keeping the Shea Moisture. I kind of like it as a rinse out, but not so much as a leave-in.

I also bought a Taliah Waajid Protective Mist Bodifier, but I can't decide whether to return it or not. I think I'll do some research on LHCF to decide.

Didn't use up any additional product. After I cowashed, I DCd with the As I Am Hydrating Conditioner. I have either 2 or 3 uses of that. I like it but will try some other DCs before I decide whether I will repurchase. I used the As I Am Leave-in which I love. I bought a 2nd bottle but I am really getting a lot of uses out of the 1st bottle. I followed with sunflower oil. I do think I will use up any oils soon. I will focus on the sunflower oil until it is gone. I mixed some Shea Moisture Smoothie with water and put that over the oil. I definitely won't repurchase this. It isn't terrible but it just isn't great on my hair. I will use it up though. I twisted with the Hydroquench Puttiful. I bought the sample size. I like it but won't repurchase. I think there are better things I can use to twist my hair. I have 1/2 jar of this left. I will alternate between using this up and using up the Qhemet Twist Butter.
