i used up some of my samples today (UR Curly Quinoa Conditioner, Koils by Nature Shealoe Deep Conditioner, UR Curly Tight Curl Enhancer); and I finished off one of my CJ Smoothing Lotions (staple). Aside from my CJ, the only thing I would repurchase is the Koils by Nature.

I have about a drop left of Honey Curls Honey Oil. I will miss this stuff :(

Bought some stuff; updated stash list.

Unless I run out of a staple or holy grail prematurely, I will not be buying anymore hair products until black Friday.

It's wash day so I may use up some things.
Received my HQ shipment so adding to my stash
HQ The Slip leave-in
HQ The Slip Daily Styling Creme
HQ the Slip Deep Conditioner
HQ 5 Day moisture. Wish I hadn't repurchased this but hopefully I can make it work
HQ Go Deep Conditioner
HQ Greasless Moisture
HQ Honey Pineapple Hibiscus Repair Mask

Finished washing and doing an overnight DC. Will rinse and style tomorrow. Used up the As I Am Hydrating Conditioner. It was nice but I won't repurchase. It softened my hair but didn't smooth it like AO BC. Now I get to dig into some HQ Conditioners.

I washed with Hair One Olive Oil. This isn't bad but it isn't at nice as the 4 Naturals Extra Moist Detangling Conditioner or the Terressentials mudwash. Putting this in my giveaway box. Plan on buying another bottle of the mudwash in the future. I may try the As I Am Cowashing pudding in the future as well.

Didn't use up anything today  I tried though.

I rinsed out my DC. Used As I Am Leave-in. I get a lot of uses out of that little bottle. Followed with apricot oil. I should be able to use this up in July. Sealed my ends with Qhemet Twisting Butter. Will use this up in July. Followed that with As I Am Double Butter. Will have this for the rest of my life  Spritzed my hair with Komaza Vitamin Reign. I want to use this up in July. Twisted with Long-Aid Curl Activator Gel. Will use this up in July or throw it away. It makes my hair soft but it doesn't smooth it like some other gels and creams do.

I used up my Hask placenta! When you apply something to the hair like a relaxer you use up a lot! But I'm glad it's gone, I get so excited when I a have to toss something because it finished :) thinking about getting the Hask placenta spray, my mom used it when I was growing up, I like the smell and makes me think of my mom doing my hair again, but don't know if I can use it as a every day spray, was plan on replacing my shea moisture curl and shine most after its gone and its getting really low

Used up 1 Trader Joe Tea Tree Tingle. Brought out the Lush American Cream Conditioner for mid-week co-washing.

I used up my Honey Curls Honey Oil Blend last night

I have like a teaspoon left of Coco Curls, but I'm not sure that I even want to bother using it. I wasn't in love with it.

I'm giving away the following to my sister when she comes for her next visit:
- Shea Moisture Restorative Conditioner
- Shea Moisture Curl Enhancing Smoothie (sample)
- Taliah Waajid Protective Mist Bodifier
- Ampro Vitamin E Oil

I have getting rid of heat protectants as a goal, but I'm stuck. I have two bottles of the Kercare Silken Seal, which I only used for roller sets under my hood dryer when I was relaxed. I tried it for flatironing and it didn't work well for me. I also have a bottle of the IC Heat Protectant spray, which is what I used for flat ironing, but I don't know if it is enough to protect my natural curls.

I want to get rid of my heat protectants, but I never use heat on my hair. At the same time, I feel like I should keep something in case I ever get the urge to use heat. I can't figure out which one to keep and I'm not even sure that the ones I have are good for my natural hair, but I'm trying not to buy anything new right now. Ugh. :drunk:

Sorry. I needed to let that out.

Wow, that was two months ago and I haven't posted my stash:ohwell::ohwell: I don't have a goal for this session because I'm doing a modified CG method and there are ton of products I have that contain cones that I won't be using at all for a few months. Right now I'd be content to use up 3 products by the end of this session, if that.

I updated my stash with the new products I ordered from Shescentit and Claudie's.

I threw out the hempseed oil because it expired.

I moved the AO GPB and Giovanni Smooth as Silk to my dd stash. I just have too many other conditioners to get through.

I'm done with the Pomade Shop Growth Foundations Coffee Pomade, Matani leave in, and Aloe My Hair Moisturizing Spray.

I gave HennaSooq Sweet Mimosa Butter, KomazaCare Aloe leave-in conditioner, a half-bottle of DB Pumpkin Seed conditioner, and SM Yucca Volumizing Conditioner to my SIL.

I threw out the long-aid gel. When I took my twist down today I looked at my shirt and it looked like I had 20 years worth of dandruff :nono: I can't imagine what my hair would have looked like if I had tried to wear a twist out. I won't purchase that again no matter how inexpensive it is.

Used up Qhemet Twist Butter. Cowashed with DevaCurl, DCd with AO Island Naturals. Used my As I Am Leave-In. I think one bottle of this last me at least 3 months. Used apricot oil on only 1 side of my hair to see if oil does anything for my hair. Sealed my ends with Qhemet Twist Butter. Sealed my hair with As I Am Double Butter. I will use up the Double Butter but I won't repurchase. It makes my hair feel soft but it leaves it looking ashy. I may try mixing it with a bit of water to see if that helps but that sort of defeats the purpose of having a creamy step.

Twisted my hair with Komaza Vitamin Reign. It will last me a while. Then twisted with HQ Puttiful. I probably have 1 more use of this. Will use it up next week.

I'm going through my products and the only thing on the chopping block this week is the TJ Tea Tree Tingle conditioner. I'll probably use this up when I do my henna/indigo treatment this week.

I used up my Kinky Curly Curling Custard and the III Sisters Curling Gelo. I have a drop of Kinky Curly Knot Today left.

The Curling Custard is good stuff, and I'll probably repurchase it as long as it works with a leave-in other than Knot Today. I don't like the Knot Today at all.

Before giving up on the Knot Today, trying adding water to it and using it that way and see if you like it any better. It doesn't work on my hair if I use it straight out of the bottle but mixing it with almost equals amount of water really helped.

I'm not a part of this challenge (officially)...

But I used the remainder of my Neutrogena triple moisture mask and felt all warm inside :)

Proverbs 31:30

Finished the last of my Macadamia Natural Oils Deep Repair Masque :yay: (love this, it's probably my 4th jar. but won't be repurchasing until I finish other DC's. I have about 5 or 6 in the stash)

Almost done Aphogee Green Tea & Keratin Restructurizer (another favorite, but next in line is Redken Anti-snap which has been collecting dust for months in my hair drawer).

Trying out a way to condition my hair even more and decrease the stash in the process: follow up my deep conditioning session with an instant rinse out conditioner. Right now using Agadir Daily Moisturizing Conditioner and when this is done will move on to something else instead of repurchasing (even though I really like it!)

Another tip.. for those of you who wear wigs (human hair) it's a great opportunity to use up the stash on those.

Anyone have plans after stash is gone?

I was thinking of trying one line exclusively (one that has a shampoo, conditioner, DC, leave-in conditioner and heat-protecting serum)

I was thinking I would find my staples and not want to try a new line, this is what got me into this mess, trying new lines. If I don't find my staple I will only try stores I can get a full refund in case I don't like none of their products AlliCat

Not so much when it is gone but when it reaches a certain size. When my stash reaches 20 products I let myself purchase new things. So at 20 products I will try HH, Shescentit, or one of the other lines. I don't think I will try an entire line though. I have tried the 4 Naturals entire line. I liked all of it but only some of the products could replace my staples. I can't seem to find a lot of lines I like, especially on the ground.

I've been thinking about this alot lately now that I'm under 20 products. My original side goal during the challenge was to figure out two products in each category that work on my newly natural hair. I've been putting them under "staples". Once I'm done with my stash, I'm going to take my staple list and whittle that down to probably one product for most of my categories.

Although, I've also been keeping a running Black Friday to-buy list to motivate me (mostly deep conditioners); so I'm not sure about the 1 product at a time plan. Maybe I'll set a more reasonable goal, like faithVA, and just keep it under a certain number.

Just used my pass for the month  Purchased Aveda Anti-Humectant Pomade after @DarkJoy mentioned it in the RT thread. Did my research and the reviews online are all amazing.

It's not entirely an impulse buy, I actually was looking for something just like this -- something to use on my new growth to prevent reversion. Excited to see how it works especially when I start flat ironing again. The lady also gave me a sample of the Glossing Straightener.

Yes, I plan to do this as well. I want to use one line of products. I really like KeraCare products for relaxed hair, followed by Nairobi. I do have some staples that are from natural hair care lines that I will not do without.
My goal is to have:
-clarifying poo and moisturizing shampo
-protein Reconstructor
-a moisturizing DC
-a protein/moisturizing DC
- two leave in conditioners
-two co-wash conditioners
-water based moisturizer
-hair pomade
-growth aid
-oil to seal
-Dabur Vatika oil
-JBCO
-peppermint/rosemary essential oils
-heat protectant
-Nairobi Foam Wrap
-HTN Follicle Mist

That's 20 items....I got a lot of product to get through.

Funny AlliCat! Please report back on that. Matter of fact, I went to the Aveda salon again today and read the ingredients. Unfortunately, It has a major allergen in it for me (castor oil).

However, I and others would love to hear from a sister LHCFer how it works!
