Funny how when you say, "Brang it"; it takes it's sweet time.

i think ur hair will look gorgeous when it all grows in. I actually love meryl streep when her hair is white

I'm following you in the gray area, I am so tired in trying to make my hair do something it won't. If the ayervedic oils don't work, I won't be coloring all winter. when it gets warmer, i may crumble.

Very pretty! That's a great way to see how different your growth rate is in each area of your head. It's kinda interesting how the hairline doesn't have much grey at all.

It radiates. Beautiful. My mother is loc'd and went all gray. And then all of a sudden we started noticing that her hair started going a little black again. So now she is salt and pepper. So who knows, it may not stay gray. Your hair is gorgeous

Whattt??? WOW! I am so ready to "do the dang thing"; I don't want it going back. What a phenom. Thanks for writing kupenda!

Hey there DD (and Krystle, in the ty siggie area). Girrl, come on along. You won't crumble . It's liberating to not be running after the dye box. Oh, and get this, apparently there is some type/kind of "natural" dye at Whole Foods, like $20 a box. PULLEAZE. Girrrrrl, nah son, I ain't the one. We talk about creamy crack in here, there outta be a name for chasing the color chemiKILLS :lachen:. I gave in to folk (and I am talking men and women) saying I look old, and that I would be competing for jobs (I had just graduated grad school when I really succumbed to the NON-sense).
Well, get this. I dropped out of the jobs race. We work for ourselves, choosing self-sufficiency over a check from some person/company that can (read that will) get rid of us any time they feel like it. Or, even depending upon the world scene as in Internet programs, schemes, advertising, etc. (Google Adsense type stuff).

And, as far as "old". Well, anyone who spends five minutes with me knows I am not old. Those who judge me by mere appearance (ain't we glad Jesus spoke to that kind) . . . whateverrrr. I married me a country boy, we got a farm (well, we're working it); and I ain't pressed. With Jah's spirit, we'll be successful. Booo yahhh!!!

I don't know about that. I'm going to be fighting that gray! I have some strands in my edges, and I dye them regularly.

Your white hairs are gorgeous! That's just so pretty! My "gray" hairs are all really white, too. So far they are just at my temples not all throughout. And I only have about three.

I wish mine would grow in evenly and pretty like yours!! My greys are random strands. I'd rather them congregate in a streak in the front. :(

I won't fight it! I actually can't wait until I start noticing grey/white/silver strands. I am in my mid-twenties which is when my Mom started going grey. I have yet to notice any on my head. :-( So I suppose I will patiently await the day when I have awesome white hair! I will be channeling Storm.
I wish I could convince Mom to stop fighting her silver. She´s so stubborn about it though.

Side note: I love white/silver/grey hair so much I even thought about lightening my hair. But the fear of damaging it from going so light has kept me from doing it. That and the fact that my super dark roots growing in would look awful!

I absolutely love your hair! I remember my mom used to call her grays trophies, so I have always looked forward to getting mine. I noticed one in the front about 2 years ago and was sooo excited, but when I started henna treatments never thought about protecting that one strand. I haven't seen it since...even when the henna grows out that strand is still just brown... :( Anyway, I'm sure they'll come with a vengence, I just hope they are as beautiful as yours!

It's really pretty! I love white hair. I'd be ecstatic if mine grew that way. Unfortunately I'm only salt and pepper at the edges. People are thrown by the grey because they think I'm younger than I really am.

Your hair is so pretty!
I've always been intrigued by gray hair and desperately want a gray streak (a la Stacy London), but I still only have a couple gray hairs and I'm nearly 43. My sister started graying in her early 30's - and of course she HATES her hair and keeps it colored, lol.

I truly believe my diet and vitamin reggie keeps my hair dark, but I'm not gonna give up eating right and taking vitamins just to get gray hair...

My hair have been doing that since I was 12. I had a gray streak that went back to dark brown. It goes back and forth every few years. I think mine is stress related.

I love it! Your white is so bright and vibrant.

I thought so too! So pretty and looks so soft. Is it? (I know some people say gray hair is bit coarser than their normal hair? Have you noticed this to be the case?)

I love love love your attitude @LovinLocks and congratulations on your success and ability to call the shots on your life.

I have a few grays and so far I'm cool with them. I have white cats and sometimes folks think it's cat hair or cat hair fluff and will try to pluck it off. :giggle: I hope I'm like LovinLocks when I grow up. *sigh*

BTW, were you always this at peace with going gray? Did you change your mind along the way? How long has it taken to get all that in?

Last question, have you ever seen this thread?
