Elasta QP Creme Conditioning Shampoo

I just went to my BSS and picked up a bottle. This will be my first time trying it since im on my last 32oz bottle of the CON red label. It smells so good. I was looking up the ing. and it seems the bottle I picked up was the old ing. Has anyone tried the updated version? If so how does it compare?

Can this shampoo be purchased online?

I bought a 32oz bottle on Amazon.

I can't believe this thread is from 2003! If I had saw this thread back then, I could have saved ten's of dollars on shampoo. I LOVE this shampoo! Free at last, free at last, thank God Almighty my hair is free at last from tangles and matting!!!!!!

These raves have me drooling. I will be buying it this weekend.

I also just bought the Ouidad Double Detangling Comb due to another recent thread.

Um, this is why I've been trying to stay off the Hair Board. :look:

It seems like that thread has remained front and center for a while. :yep:

I use this shampoo and I love it. I normally use this one:

But recently, I saw this one:

Is there a difference, if so, which one is better? Is one of them older than the other?

This is the only shampoo I use. It cleans my hair without leaving it feeling stripped and hard, especially since I added some SAA to it.

I'll probably try this out once I use up all of my old CON green (and red). It'll be a while. :look:

This was my staple shampoo for a LONG time, sadly I stopped using it for CON, now that the original formula of CON is discontinued, Ill use up my stash and go back to my Creme Conditioning Shampoo.

I tried it once and it made my hair feel so coated. I had to wash 3-4 times with a clarifying shampoo. Maybe I got a bad bottle. I have been afraid to use it again.

This has been my staple shampoo for the last 5 years. I even use it after I clarify. It leaves my hair so soft and manageble.

I have to say that THIS IS THE MOST BOMBBBB shampoo! I'm not one to hype things up if I don't feel strongly about them. But this shampoo SOFTENS hair. Is that realisitc? But it does! It is my baby daddy, mama lol. And I will never strive away from it. I believe its good for relaxed and naturals!

Well ladies, I can't wait to try this. I usually use Pantene Relaxed and Natural, but I always feel I need more moisture afterwards. I'm hoping this does the trick.

I just relaxed with Elasta's new No-Lye conditioning relaxer and I think I like it more than Mizani's sensitive scalp, so I'm gradually moving towards Elasta QP.

Oh and I love their Mango Butter . . . yummy.

My FAV shampoo so far!!!

It's almost like using conditioner w/ lots o' sudsing bubbles

I dilute mine and still get amazing results .. my hair is not dried up & shrunken like w/ other shampoos ...at first I thought it was not cleansing my scalp but every time I use it my scalp passes the finger nail scratch test (no white gunk) :nono:

I think it's all about the pH balance...the original version was marketed as pH 5.5 acidic (smoothing the cuticle) whearas most shampoos are more alkaline (raising the cuticle) .. the new version does not cite the pH on the bottle but I'm assuming it's pretty much the same as the original version (I've never used the original version so I cannot compare)

I also have the Elucence Moisture Benefits & Trader Joe's Nourish Spa in my stash... they are great and better than sulfate-laden shampoos but not AS wonderful as the ElastaQP Creme Conditioning

I used to love the old one. Went loking for it today actually. But the formula changed and I'm afraid my hair won't like it. Anyone know how they compare?

I like the new one better but I have a big bottle of the old one I need to get through before I buy the new one again.

That's good to know. Now I don't have to test Elucence Moisture Benefits. I love Elasta QP Creme Conditioning Shampoo.

Love love love this shampoo. I never thought I'd find a staple shampoo and was thinking of going no poo until I found Elasta's shampoo. Works for my relaxed hair and my daughter's natural hair.

I just tried this shampoo (old formula)...it's AMAZING!!!!! Wow, I didn't think anything could beat Breakthru shampoo...

I bought two 32oz bottles....but how does the new Creme Cond. Shampoo version compare??

Update: I tried the new formula and it doesn't compare in my opinion and even though the old formula is incredibly moisturizing with amazing slip....I stopped using it because it doesn't cleanse my hair at all! Over time I noticed that my fav DC stopped working properly and it was because of all the build-up from the shampoo; I was so disappointed :(

I just bought this since I have run out of all of my beloved CON red that I have been stockpiling lol.. I'm going to try it tonight and see how it goes!

Love this.
I bought some after trying to find something similar to CON Green.
This is the best poo, it is a staple now
