Love it. her vids are always straight to the point and easy to understand. Her hair is so long now.

Thanks OP. I love her videos too. She sticks to the subject and i like narrated videos versus the ongoing conversation.

I want to try this this weekend but I already committed to another process:sad:

But her curls looked amazing. :lick:

Keshieshimmer[/USER];14246183]umm, do you not really need a conditioner on your roots?

Quite a few people advocate not putting conditioner within an inch of your scalp. One theory is only the older hair on your hair needs conditioner.

Hmmm...I deep condition with condish that has lots of vitamins (seperately or in oils)/msm, if these substances do help with growth/are absorbed it would be at the scalp (the bulb is just below the dermis) and not the length of (dead) hair. I dont think hair has the ability to absorb vitamins, I can only see the vitamins being beneficial to the scalp (hair bulb), if any absorption occurs. I can see how applying aa, hydrolyzed proteins, oils (evoo, evco, avocado) to the shaft act to 'condition' the hair. Maybe it depends on the composition of the dc. I put my dc on my scalp and from root to tip. I really dont know.

She does explain why you wouldn't want to put this conditioner on your scalp. For me heavy cream based conditioners cannot go anywhere near my scalp because they won't rinse off. So I have to wash again to get the conditioner off my scalp which is obviously counterproductive. But I have a conditioner that is primarily oil based which doesn't do this.

Things like this after you do them once, you know whether you want it close to your scalp or not based on your own experience.

She is definitely in my top 3 favorite youtubers. Her videos are right on.

Ive only read of white women in mags with fine hair who dont apply con near their roots as it weighs down the hair too much oils making it flat and whatnot

Really like her vids she has a nice vibe about her

Great vid!! I would say experiment with applying to scalp vs not. The hair near my scalp tangles so badly sometimes it fells like spider webs, so I may apply to my scalp to see if the smell lingers.

Love her. One thing though...can this be done on wet hair? I don't Co-wash and I feel like I have to clean my scalp everytime I wash

the only reason she doesnt put this conditioner on her scalp is because she doesnt want to wash her hair to remove the odor. She only wash her hair throughly once per month.

She has really beautiful hair.

But not only did she not apply the conditioner to about 2-2.5 inches of hair near the scalp (because of the scent), she also neglected to detangle that hair as well. I would be jacked up if I conditioned and detangled all EXCEPT my roots.

As always she's on point! I love dcing with yogurt and for my fairy fine hair it acts like a mild protein boost! I also almost never let conditioner touch my scalp...I would have gone up a little further with this one...

I think she detangled the roots when she washed out the yogurt and applied the mudwash.

man... Nap85 does it again!!!! i love this girl!

So did she say how long she leaves it in for? Guess I'll be getting Greek Yogurt today

I also will pick up aloe vera juice... :yay:

It's good to see how many others like her. Of all the natural gurus on YouTube, she's my absolute favorite. She drops knowledge, shows her hair, and that's it. She's not there shilling her products, interacting with folks in a trife manner, and all the other irritating behavior I've seen from other "gurus". And this includes putting your two cents in to other "gurus" disputes. :look:

:look: And I'm done. *Drops mic dramatically*

I like her method and I will give this a go after I use up my other conditioner. But I would think the smell would dissipate after awhile; if you do put it near your scalp.

But I think prior to applying the conditioner you can put some sort of oil near your roots to help with the detangling.
