Hmm...I suppose the fact that I had end of the day hair myself may have contributed to her ignorance...I've had a couple of midday mishaps myself. That's what ponytail bands are for! Keep smilin', keep shinin', knowing you can always count on these...End of the day hair...shoot. Mid day hair can be questionable looking.DD has the same type as the OP's daughter. I can do her hair at 9 and by 1 it look like I never touched it.
She dead *** wrong for talking sideways.
She's ADORABLE and her hair is beautiful and looks like my DD's. By the end of the day DD's hair dosnt look like it does when we leave the house (I carry an arsenal of hair products in the baby bag when we go out so it can TRY to look the same way throughout the day). Her texture is just SO baby fine it's hard to hold a style. 2nd day hair doesn't exist for her either. I totally get ya.
That woman's comment was completely uncalled for. I know I would have flipped my [bleep]. Your comment was perfect. She got the point. The nerve of people. I can never understand how people can insult a CHILD. It's so ignorant![]()
@Silenttulip You feel me! And girl, that's more than just the wind: that's wind, naptime, 3 trips to the playground (two at daycare), the stroller, carseat hair, and just general day-old braidout with age-appropriate products. One of the reasons her hair is so long is that I don't do a lot of ponytails, elastics, etc... I know I need to try soaking them in oil, but elastics really do a number on her hair. Once I saw that, it was all about braidouts and wash and goes, and she still has her original length from when she was a newbie
And...I guess maybe this is the true source of my insecurity: I...never...learned...to...cornrow!!!And after seeing many tutorial vids, I'm certain I never will. I don't have the dexterity or the patience! Perhaps I will find someone to braid her hair up for a little protective styling, but I love DD's hair and I think it's doing fine.
