You see acronyms in real life and immediately associate them with LHCF

I just saw someone write HHG (Household Goods) on a board and thought Happy Hair Growing

when you know how many time a particular member has started and stopped and started again their healthy hair journey :look:

When you have the code names for the smiley faces memorized so you can use them through the app.
:)
:lachen:

i'm always so ready to insert the smileys on FB/Twitter or while i'm texting :look:

* You see someone looking a hot mess in real life- and you're doing a "say something nice" dialogue in your mind :perplexed:

When you wonder/know what this member or that member would say about a cheating husband/a chick with raggedy hair trying to give you advice on your hair.
When a girl whose makeup skills are so bad that you would pay a subscription for her so she could see the skills and lessons she could learn on our makeup forum.

*when you've copied and pasted the smilies in emails because the smilies in gmail are simply inadequate. btw, my favorite and most often used smilie would have to be :look:.

*when you no longer feel compelled to co-sign with other members and compliment a poster's length progress when the OP is clearly in need of a 5 inch trim.

*when you will go into a "Look what I did to my hairrrrrr!!!!!!!!!!!" thread and post "interesting"

When you spend your commute coming up with regimens (complete with product recs) for everyone on the train/bus, instead of reading or doing other more productive stuff, like you used to.

When yr out and about and you can tell who's hair is natural and who has a chemical! Also when you can instantly identify a hair type just by a quick glimpse.

When you use acronyms in real life (APL, BSL, etc.) and no one has a clue as to what you're talking about.

When your hubby understands said acrocyms :look::lachen:

When smilies on other forums just don't cut it like the ones here. :nono:

:lachen: I guess that's the equivalent of calling someone's baby "precious"

Hilarious!!!!

....when you say *HIIIIII* enthustiastically whenever you "see" a particular member on other boards and/or youtube and recognize their hair pics much more then you recognize the person.

....when you ask your school IT why this site is blocked! Yes, I did, but only anonymously, don't judge me!

When you know about certain LHCF drama that makes you give the side eye when the members involved post. :look:

When you're not only addicted to logging on everyday but you constantly log on LHCF during breaks.

When you go into certain threads KNOWING who's gonna be up in there adding their opinion. *Cough iri9109 Cough EllePixie* :look:

Fa real, Aireen? Oh okay, I see you...

I'll say you've been on LHCF too long when you either know how a thread is going to go just by the title (relaxed v. natural, heat training, talking about someone else's hair, etc) and when the "gates" no longer offend you...you just get some popcorn and refresh the page.

When you have favourite members that you get excited about that make you go, "YAY!  " Then you have the ones that you don't particularly like that make you go, "Ehhh... :look: :scratchch"

when you got some .gifs saved to your computer (and possibly made some of your own:look:) for when the gates break out...

*when you can read the title of the thread, without even reading the OP, and tell the thread is going to be 15+ pages, with gifs and an inevitable lock

*when you see kimmaytube post a new video in which she said something side eye-ish and grab your purple drank and head over to LHCF, knowing that someone has already started a thread

*if you see this video and can fondly remember one of the greatest gates (perhaps second only to THE thread)
eta: i can't believe dance-off gate had 43 pages. *off to reminisce*

*When you eagerly wait for the big month June and December hair reveals.

* When you privately mourn because your favorite LHCF heads announce that they are not going to renew their subscription.

When you remembered a member had SL hair when they first joined, then 5 plus years later they still have the same hair length and still making post like they are a newbie.

When you want to text your friends :look: :drunk: or :giggle: and then you get sad for a second when you realize you can't. Or sometimes you actually attempt to do the physical :look: when you're talking to someone so you can emphasize your point, and you realize you're doing it because of the LHCF smiley and you think, "Chile...I'm crazy."
